The Lockdown isn’t popular anywhere

From Fox News:

Hawaii could face civil unrest, rioting if coronavirus reopening doesn’t happen quicker, top official says

Hawaii’s top emergency response official said Monday he fears there will be civil unrest and rioting if the state doesn’t speed up its process of reopening the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“If we let the economy go the way it’s going, there will be, I feel, significant unrest that could lead to civil disobedience. In worst case, civil disturbance and rioting,” Maj. Gen. Kenneth Hara, the state director of emergency management, told lawmakers Monday.

Riots in Hawaii over the lockdown.

Understand that Hawaii is one of the Leftist places in the country.

It’s where Senators Schatz-for-brains and Crazy Mazie hail from.  Voters there tried to recall Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard for not being Lefty enough on the campaign trail.

So for Hawaii to say “enough with this bullshit” on the Lockdown is saying something.

Hara, who heads the state’s coronavirus response team, argued before the state House Select Committee on COVID-19 in Honolulu Monday that, despite pushback from the department of health, Hawaii must accept the risk of an increase in new infections because the longer they wait, the harder it will be for the economy to recover, KHON2 reported.

Hawaii, as of Wednesday, has recorded 635 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 17 deaths, according to the state department of health. Just one new case was recorded within the last 24-hour period. At least 81 COVID-19 patients have required hospitalization.

The state’s tourist-centric economy, meanwhile, has taken a serious blow since the governor’s stay-at-home order took effect on March 25, which shut down all non-essential businesses and forced restaurants to switch to take-out or delivery.

Hawaii has a population of 1.4 million people, 635 people is an infection rate of 0.004%.  That is what the state was shut down for.

Right now is the peak of the tourist season.  It’s in the 80s and sunny.  The lack of tourism and the mandatory lockdown is slaughtering the local economy.

For a sunny island to be shut down over a 0.004% infection rate because the government is acting like it’s New York City would piss me off too.

When the people who sent Crazy Mazie to DC are about to start setting fires because they are locked inside, it’s time to reconsider the policy.

The Ahmaud Arbery Case. This Blog’s position.

I thought this case was a dumpster fire in Social Media, but I was short: It is Rome burning with harp music in the background.

The Media narrative of “jogging” bothered me a bit, so I asked a couple of question about it. At best I was treated like I wanted to subvert/ignore law so the accused could go free and not miss their next KKK meeting. At worst I wanted black people to be lynched in masse.

And that was from people in our side of Gun Rights and politics.

Screw that.  We are waiting for the trial and the evidence presented in courts which, at the end of the day, is the only things that matter.

Even dogs are sick of the Lockdown

A woman in Illinois was mauled to death by her French bulldog on Saturday, the county coroner said.
Police found Lisa Urso, 52, unresponsive on the back porch of her Fox Lake home, WBBM reported.
Officials said they believe her French bulldog attacked her inside the home and that she was ultimately able to get out of the house and onto the back patio where she died, WMAQ reported.

52-year-old found mauled to death by her French bulldog, Illinois coroner says

A friend in Facebook defined French bulldogs as ” a chihuahua with a pack of Gauloises rolled up in his t-shirt sleeve.” And he is not wrong by much.

Did the dog find the stash of meth, went Tony Montana and attacked the owner? Th is is the type you can kill with a misdirected fart, yet it managed to kill an adult human. Maybe it was like a regular big bulldog with a French passport.  Anyway, back to the point, we need to end the lockdowns if the dogs cannot stand having you around 24/7.

Two months in a meme

Government in March: “We need social distancing to flatten the curve.”

Government in May: “You can’t leave your house until you prove to the Government you tested negative for COVID, and then only to buy government approved essential items at government approved retailers, and only if you are wearing a mask.”

The People’s Republic of Washington State will assign you a valet/jailer.

At timestamp 38:55 in the video of the press conference below, one reporter asked: “When it comes to contact tracing, how are you guys going to handle people or families who want to refuse to test or to self isolate? If they want to leave their home to get groceries I know you’ve said they can’t do that; how will you make sure they don’t?“

Below is Jay Inslee’s response:

“We will have attached to the families a family support person who will check in with them to see what they need on a daily basis… and help them. If they can’t get a friend to do their grocery shopping, we will help get them groceries in some fashion. If they need pharmaceuticals to be picked up, we will make sure they get their pharmaceuticals… That’s going to help encourage them to maintain their isolation too.

“As far as refusal, it just shouldn’t come to that, and it really hasn’t. We’ve had really good success when we ask people to isolate, and they’ve done so in really high percentages, so we’re happy about that, and we believe that will continue.”

Therefore, those individuals that refuse to cooperate with contact tracers and/or refuse testing, those individuals will not be allowed to leave their homes to purchase basic necessities such as groceries and/or prescriptions. Those persons will need to make arrangements through friends, family, or a state provided “family support personnel.”

Governor Inslee lays out statewide contact tracing plan for COVID-19

Some days like today, I really have a tough time sitting down and writing a post, specially after reading crap like this.  I thought it was bad when they blackmailed restaurants into keeping name and other info of customers as condition to do a reduced opening, but I guess I was wrong and by a lot.

We are watching the creation of “unerwünscht(undesirables) lists and I fear what will be their application in the future since history has taught us it never ends well.

I am begining to understand why people retire to Florida.

It seems up north they have very little consideration for the elderly.

It seems Pennsylvania is following NY in how to deal with the virus in Assisted Living Facilities.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — The Coronavirus pandemic is taking an especially deadly toll on state nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Deaths from these places alone have accounted for 68.6 percent of all deaths in the state as of Tuesday, according to state data.
Yet the state is under increased scrutiny for their policies that some have argued has made the crisis worse.
This month a consortium of Mid-Atlantic newspapers under the USA Today Network detailed the policy in Pennsylvania and other states that’s ordering nursing homes to admit medically stable residents infected with the coronavirus.

Spotlight PA, a partnership between the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Harrisburg’s PennLive, also found evidence the Pennsylvania Department of Health drafted a quick strike plan to protect nursing homes in March, but never fully implemented it.

Critics argue state nursing home transparency is too little, too late

But of course, politicians in the know are special.

(Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel) Levine was asked by a reporter Tuesday about her mother being moved out of a long-term care facility, Levine said she was allowing the wishes of her 95-year-old mother to move from a personal care home to a hotel.

Here is yet another state that has three times more deaths in nursing homes than Florida, yet our response has been criticized by our local media and Governor DeSantis branded as useless and dangerous.  The same Media that has as only job to beat on our Governor has still to cover the immense deadly blunders happening in the “enlightened” states up north.  It is bad political business to do so and unfortunately the media has been good at its job driving the  good image of the governor and the state down.

Only one problem: DeSantis is not up for re-election in November.

I do hope he believes in payback and when the final national numbers come out regarding the Pandemic’s death, he gets worse than Trump during press conferences and destroy Journos live and in full color with Dolby Sound.
