The narrative is being set

First of all, this needs to be said because I’m not aware of any pundit saying it first.

There seem to be three groups active on the streets right now:

    1. Actual protesters in the streets who have a legitimate grievance against an abusive cop and a system that protected him for too long.
    2. Radical activists who are using the protests as an excuse to cause real shit.  They are smashing windows and burning things.
    3. Looters who are using the chaos caused by Group 2 and to a lesser degree Group 1 as cover to steal everything they want that isn’t nailed down.  The people taking TV’s from Target or looting the Gucci and Louis Vuitton don’t care about the death of George Floyd or racial Leftist ideology.  This is the same mentality that causes looting after a hurricane or earthquake: they can get away with it so they will.

Nobody seems to be willing to parse these.

The Left says they are all protesters, and unfortunately too many on the right ignore the few people who have a real, serious grievance about a bad cop who choked a man to death on a city street, to call them all thugs.

What is interesting is that we’ve caught glimpses of legitimate protesters catching and calling out the radical activists.

Data from the arrests shows that there are a lot of semi-professional radicals in the streets trying to stir up shit.

Attorney General Barr said this during a press conference:

This is exposing the Leftist agitators for what they are.

The response by the Leftists, especially those in the media, is to declare them to be white supremacists and Trump supporters engaged in a false flag attack.

Remember in my earlier post, I mentioned the two radicals who threw Molotov Cocktails at an NYPD car with officers inside.  The Left is already saying they were Trump supporters.

The radical Left is being caught red-handed stirring the shit-pot and people don’t like it, so they are blaming it on Trump and white supremacists.

This will only make it go more out of control.  Which is what they want, really.

This tactic is going to cause the police to abandon cities to the mob

The wide use of cellphone cameras and people recording the police as brought to light many cases of police brutality resulting in bad cops getting punished.

That is a good thing.  I want dirty, abusive cops off the streets.

However, there is a dark side to this, and it is a tactic currently being employed by the protesters.

Here it is in a nutshell.

    • Protesters scream, curse, and spit in officers’ faces for twelve-plus hours of riot duty.
    • The officer has spent all day in the sun in his riot gear baking, catching an unbelievable level of abuse, and is down to his last nerve.
    • Some protester gets right up in the cops face and does something that causes him to react with force.
    • The Twitter mob shows ONLY the cop’s response and not the three days worth of around the clock abuse he’s just taken.
    • The cop is immediately doxxed and targeted and Leftist politicians demand his firing.

This is a perfect example:

The internet has already identified this offer and branded him a white supremacist.  I won’t share those Tweets but they are in the thread of this Tweet if you want to look.

None of these Leftist politicians mentioned how ANTIFA was throwing Molotov Cocktails at police cars with the police inside.

When NYPD are in their cars, having objects thrown at them, knowing that other people had just attempted to burn some other NYPD officers alive, you’d expect that they wouldn’t want to sit there and let protesters box them in until they were lit on fire.

That part of the story is not told.

This is cop baiting, pure and simple, and the protesters are using every ugly aspect of cancel culture – manipulated cellphone footage gone viral and internet sleuthing – to destroy police.

The cops that are working to control these riots are being stabbed in the back by Leftist politicians, aided by gotcha cancel culture activists.

I suspect the next thing will be the police just walking away.  If they are attacked in front by dangerous rioters and in the back by Leftist politicians they have no choice but to give up.  Fuck it and drive on.

The screams of the little girl ripped my heart. My guess is that she got a dose of pepper spray because mom and daddy thought using her as a human shield would prevent the cops from aiming at them.

Open Carry Idiots: Minneapolis

Two gentlemen OC and walking down the street.

Yes, Minnesota is an Open Carry State and the gentlemen were legally right and free to carry. Unfortunately, that was not the strategic thing to do.

“But Miguel! The cops are wrong! They should have not confiscated their weapons!”

Do you remember the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans? Even though it was illegal, orders were issued to confiscate guns.

And the aggrieved pair can take the cops to court and will probably win their case. But ladies and gents, we are in special and trying circumstances and if history teaches us anything about times like this is that common sense and the appreciation for the finest points of Constitutional Rights goes out the window. You must stop thinking like a graduate of the Facebook Law School and think realistically (tactically if you rather use the term.)

They were detained, weapons confiscated and then let go. What you have now is two unarmed folks having to walk back home and I hope they have back up long guns.

When the shit hits the fan (and in case you have not noticed, it has) posturing is not the best of strategies.

Never break your perimeter and let yourself get surrounded – three different protests edition

Miguel has covered this topic before and I wanted to cover it again.

DO NOT BREAK YOUR PERIMETER IN A DEFENSIVE SITUATION

Especially when you are outnumbered.  That can lead to you getting surrounded and that is the most dangerous situation to be in.

Three examples from three different protests:

Dallas:

Miguel covered the guy in Dallas who got beat to a bloody pulp.

I understand that he was defending his store.  But he broke his perimeter and left the store.  That’s when he was outnumbered, surrounded, and got beat to within an inch of his life.

Salt Lake City:

This idiot gets out of his car with a compound bow, gets off one shot, and then is mobbed and beaten.  There is some debate if he was being defensive or out there to start some shit of his own.  Either way, that’s the not point.  He broke his perimeter getting out of his car.

That female cop was completely at the mercy of the protesters who had her on the ground and were dragging her.

I understand that the police are supported to maintain law and order and intervene in a dangerous situation, but they are so ridiculously outnumbered that it’s just an invitation for them to get into more trouble.

Three different protests.  Three different situations in which one or more people who opposed the rioters broke a defensive or defendable perimeter into an open area where they were outnumbered, and got mobbed and beaten.

If it happened to them it could happen to you.

If there are riots in your area, do not break your perimeter.  Do not let yourself get surrounded.

Arm yourself and hunker down.

USA Today “discovers” water is wet

Leggat, the security consultant, said intelligence reports from his colleagues indicate most of the hard-core protesters in Minneapolis are far-left or anarchists, and that far-right groups have not yet made a significant appearance. He said looting is typically done by locals – usually people with no criminal record who just get caught up in the moment.

But direct conflicts with authorities come from a mix of both locals and outside groups who see these conflicts as a core part of their mission. Many of the anarchists, he said, target banks, chain-type businesses and even luxury cars as symbols of corrupt institutions. He said even a peaceful protest can turn violent if outside agitators decide to participate, hijacking the message.

For so long they have been convinced by the words of their political Overseers that the ones to fear are the Alt-Right, that Antifa went unchecked and even had a full city governance in approval of their actions. They ignored a true domestic enemy while chasing a ghost that has had no influence pretty anywhere other than their own front pages.

And I am being nice in this post. I am assuming USA Today and its corps of Editors were simply dumb and did not catch the obvious truth in front of their noses rather than knowingly being accomplices to this mayhem by ignoring to print Antifa’s past offenses.
