It is not that I want to pounce on New York City…

But there is no evidence that rats can be infected with Wuhan V.  Great news! It is like we could almost pet them on our way to the subway. Oh yes, they carry this other and apparently less dangerous stuff.

Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome
Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome
Lassa Fever
Leptospirosis
Lymphocytic Chorio-meningitis (LCM)
Omsk Hemorrhagic Fever
Plague
Rat-Bite Fever
Salmonellosis
South American Arenaviruses (Argentine hemorrhagic fever, Bolivian hemorrhagic fever, Sabiá-associated hemorrhagic fever, Venezuelan hemorrhagic fever)
Tularemia

Diseases directly transmitted by rodents

Shootings aren’t stopping. How will anti-violence work evolve?

The Trace sent an email wondering what is going on.

Shortly after the pandemic began, my colleague Daniel Nass started monitoring data that could show how the crisis might affect gun violence. As we shared in this newsletter last week, he found that while overall crime rates had gone down across the country, gun violence was a glaring exception to the trend — with fatal shootings up 6 percent nationwide in the last six weeks compared with the same period in each of the past three years.

So Good People stayed home (many armed to the teeth). Violent criminals are being let out because of “mercy” while cops are forced to go around, wasting time and arresting moms who take their kids to the park after a month of having them locked in or sending patrol boats and SUVs to arrest ONE guy paddling ALONE in the ocean.

Dear The Trace: When you leave the cities without cops and a continuous drug trade (Oh yes, addicts did not kick the habit all of the sudden), shootings will occur.

Cuomo & DeSantis

J.Kb. sent me this one

If you are in Florida, you know the barrage of negative news stories directed against DeSantis. It is virtually non-stop and a constant screeching as if instead of Wuhan V, we were suffering a state-wide Ebola epidemic.

Now, there is little the Democrats can do to remove DeSantis. He is not up for re-election this year, but there are a lot of people in the Legislature terming out and will have be replaced. So  the Democrats have to make look like the Republicans botched the Chinese virus response and something has to be done to change things and that means a fully Democratic Legislature.

Democrats are losing their minds because the governor is starting to open the state. They know that if people get back to work and the economy picks up again, they have a diminished chance to get Florida to turn Blue and have it go Biden in November. To that extent, Rep Debbie Wasserman Schulz and her cohorts sent a letter to DeSantis.

Dear Governor DeSantis:

We write to express our grave concerns with the reopening of our state and its implications for the safety of Florida’s residents as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. While we fully recognize the tremendous burden placed on the economy by stay-at-home orders and closed businesses, we urge you to prioritize the health and safety of Floridians above all else. A rushed reopening may very well serve only to increase the human loss caused by an already historic public health crisis, as states moving forward with reopening are seeing increases in new COVID-19 cases.

If you go to the link and read the whole missive, you’d swear that it has been only by the grace of God (which they do not believe in anyway)  and pure dumb luck, that Florida has not seen catastrophic deaths yet but surely they are coming because not 100% of Floridians have been tested and simply we do not have the capacity or personnel  to deal with the wave of sick people that it surely is coming down the road any minute now and double if we start opening the state.  Simply, we are better off if we maintain everybody locked in (except illegal aliens and criminals, those have to be released) till after all is secure including a 100% effective vaccine of the election gets us a Democratic President, whichever comes first. They are gambling and hoping people get sick of being jailed and blame the governor and the Republicans for it. In 3  months the Democrats would change the tune and say it was the Republicans who wanted to keep Floridians cloistered.. (Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.)

It is nothing we did not know before hand: If your name has an “R” at the end, there is nothing you can do right and it is all your fault. If you have a “D”  tagged to your name, you can rape and kill puppies and your are the Lord’s apple of His eye.

And here is the ransom demand

WASHINGTON — New York state said Thursday that it needs at least an additional $60 billion in direct federal funding along with millions of dollars more from Medicaid and FEMA formula changes in the next coronavirus aid package being crafted in Congress.

New York’s massive request, which is part of the National Governors Association’s bid for $500 billion for all states and territories, would be spread over three fiscal years, unrestricted and could be used for revenue shortfalls, according to the association.

NY seeking $60B in federal funding because of coronavirus impact

How about go f*** yourself. Or better yet, raise your income tax to 70% and start raiding your ultra rich politicians and celebrities living in the Big Apple. Why should the Fly Over Country you guys despise has to bail you out?

It has been New York who forced the rest of the country to act like we were about to be part of a disaster movie and had to shut down rather than enact measured restrictions. And to top it all off, when we decide it is enough and open our beaches, the assholes in the NY Media  cover us under #CoronaIdiots and make fun of us while your God Governor Cuomo is shoving sick people into nursing homes and mixing them with elderly patients that had not contracted the disease.

Seriously, F*** Off.

What the hell is wrong with Tennessee?

Tennessee, Nashville health officials provide names of those testing positive for coronavirus to police

Gov. Bill Lee says the state’s release to police departments and sheriff’s offices the names and addresses of Tennesseans who have tested positive for the coronavirus is necessary to protect officers’ lives — information that is also being independently shared between city health officials and police in Nashville.

That is absolute bullshit. A total invasion of privacy under the excuse of safety. And you know why? I’ll show you.

Tennessee, Nashville health officials provide names of those testing positive for HIV to police

Gov. Bill Lee says the state’s release to police departments and sheriff’s offices the names and addresses of Tennesseans who have tested positive for the HIV disease is necessary to protect officers’ lives — information that is also being independently shared between city health officials and police in Nashville.

Those old enough remember the shitstorm that happened when the mere idea of having HIV victims to inform people like dentists and medical personnel about their status was like asking if they were Jews and need to be separated from the Arians?  Cops have a bigger chance of contracting life-threatening diseases  like HIV and Hepatitis C dealing with criminals than dying from Wuhan V. yet there is no database to inform cops what citizens are infected nor it is legal IIRC.

What the f***ing Soviet enterprise is happening in the Volunteer state?

“I found God in a grocery store bathroom stall.” (Beverage alert)

Real Amazon review Not mine):

OMG-Let’s just say-This stuff really works and could change your life.
I started the program on a Thursday in anticipation of needing to remain close to home and a bathroom over a long weekend. My first mistake was under-estimating the amount of toilet paper I would need-I figured one roll a day and I had 5 rolls to get me through 4 days. By Saturday morning, I was out of TP so I jumped into the shower, my 5th shower in 2 days, and drove the 20 minutes to a grocery store. I knew it was risking maneuver as I’d been hitting the toilet every 20 minutes but I felt like things had progressed through my system and was slowing down-This was my 2nd mistake. As I approached the grocery store, I felt a gassy bubble approaching my exit and started feeling a little uncomfortable. I got out of my car and when I did, things started shifting internally and that little gassy feeling felt like a full on avalanche approaching.

As I walked into the grocery store, I started looking for the restroom-which of course was in the back of the store up a flight of stairs. I briskly walked towards my goal and by the time I reached the back of the store, I was walking like The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. My 3rd mistake was thinking that I would be able to relieve some pressure by letting out a little “gas”-That was not gas. At the base of the stairs and the restroom only 20ft away, I took one step up and that was enough to break the dam of fecal hell. That gassy feeling was not gas at all.

At this point, I had nothing to lose and sprinted into a stall. As I sat there an absolute mess in a graffiti ridden, grocery store bathroom stall, I started reflecting on my life’s decisions and what led up to this moment of utter embarrassment. It was at that moment, that I found god. I sat there, not quite in tears, praying for a change of life style-asking god for forgiveness for my sins. I started thinking of the dog that I gave away when I couldn’t responsibly take care of him, the girlfriend I cheated on in college, and other life regrets. After about 20 minutes, and another round of colon discharge, I got myself together only to run out of toilet paper again-My sincere apologies to the Kroger store in VA as I had to use hand towels to clean up, tossing my underwear in the trash and clogging the toilet. My last mistake, which was technically my first mistake, was wearing grey sweat pants and not wearing a baseball hat to hide my shame. Needless to say, I was able to buy 2 of the largest packs of TP and head home where the cycle continued for the next 2 days.

I lost 7lbs in 4 days.

I recommend-
Stocking up on TP
Remain close to a bathroom
Have your laundry completed with extra towels
Drink lots of water
If you have to leave the house, pack a suit case of cleaning materials and backup clothes
Wear a hat if you leave the house-It just feels right and could be used in an emergency
