From The Hill:
9 in 10 voters say civil unrest a key issue in presidential race: poll
The vast majority of voters in a new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll released exclusively to The Hill say they believe civil unrest will be an important issue in the November election.
More than 9 in 10 voters surveyed in the poll, 92 percent, said they thought the issue would be important in the presidential campaign and election, including 52 percent who called it “very important” and 40 percent who viewed it as “somewhat important.” The survey was released Friday.
From Politico:
Why Biden could still lose the suburbs to Trump
Interviews with more than two dozen Democratic Party officials and strategists in the suburbs reflect confidence in Biden’s ability to compete with Trump on issues surrounding this summer’s civil unrest, but also widespread concerns about the political volatility — and potential allure — of the president’s law-and-order message.
In an effort to draw those voters back to him, Trump seized on images of looting and violence in Minneapolis and Portland following the death of George Floyd and, most recently, in Kenosha after the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Trump blamed the unrest on permissive Democrats and warned a Biden administration would leave suburban America in ruins.
One of the strategists described a focus group in which white, college-educated women reacted to the protests by discussing their own property values and, in one woman’s case, her family’s mortgage.
“White women who have college degrees are starting to really get sick of this,” the strategist said.

Who can forget this from Rochester:
In Portland, Antifa went into people back yards.
The New York Post reports that BLM protesters did over $100,000 in damage in Manhattan.
Suburban white people want to be able to go to restaurants, have security in their own homes. That is part of the suburban lifestyle. That’s why they move out of the cities into the suburbs. These people want nice, quiet lives. They worry about things like property value because suburbanites want to buy homes and not live in rented apartments all their life.
Biden and Harris have sided with the rioters. Harris and Biden have stumped for a fund to provide bail money to the rioters who were arrested.
Suburbia won’t want to vote for a candidate that threatens their quiet suburban lifestyle and property values. They don’t want to get mobbed going to the local restaurant or find their local stores looted and boarded up.
This isn’t a shock to anyone who is familiar with the suburbs, which apparently doesn’t include the people in the media. We choose to live there because we don’t want to deal with the noise and violence of the cities. Don’t bring that bullshit to our neighborhoods.
