I can tell I am getting old when the speed of my memories can be measured by Pony Express. So the last day, we were talking about the lefties from Lincoln Project and their latest idiocy: To interfere with members of the court (a federal felony) just because they work for Trump.

There was a faint warning buzz way in the back of my head, but it was not till this morning that the full message arrived. You see, back in the 1930s when Fascists’ and Communists decided to use Spain as their warfare playground for their political bull-crap, there was a group of Americans Communists that got infected with the virus of “saving the Spanish People” and went overseas to fight with the “Rojillos” (Reds) . And what was the name they decided to use?
The Lincoln Brigade.

According to history, they excelled in the battlefield as bullet catchers and if they were not starving and freezing to death, they were in a constant state of retreat while getting their asses kicked. But by the time the Spanish Civil War was over and before the dust and smoke cleared, Hitler had become the evil asshole we all know. So saying that you fought against the Nazi fascists in Spain, brought a measurement of fame, specially since the true evils of Communism were still being hidden to the World.

If anything, you have to give it to the Reds then and now: They love to hide behind the name of Lincoln to advance their agendas. But then again guess where George Orwell learn how much big assholes the Communists were: Fight on their side in the Spanish Civil War

So much for Defund the Police! Minneapolis wants to draft in extra cops to help fight wave of violent crime after dozens quit in disgust at $1million budget cut following George Floyd’s death

Minneapolis is scrambling to draft in cops from outside the city’s force to help fight a wave of violent crime just months after it began moves to defund its police.

The city is pleading for reinforcements from the sheriff’s office and the transit authority to help respond to a surge in violent 911 calls.

Why would they volunteer to jump into that shit storm?  They know the city won’t back them.

It comes after dozens of officers quit the force in protest at a $1million budget cut and promises from city leaders to scrap the entire department following the death of George Floyd in May.

Since then, violent crime in the city has soared – with homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, theft and arson all up on last year’s figures.

Who didn’t see that coming? Except for utopian Progressives who don’t live in the real world.

In July, the city council voted to move $1.1million from the police department’s budget and fund ‘civilian violence interrupters’ instead.

The ‘well-trained and unarmed’ staff are designed to ‘mediate violent conflicts and help prevent further trouble’.

Really effective guys at preventing crime.  Bang up job.

That decision let to a 54% increase in homicide, 20% increase in violent assault, and 25% inclined robbery.

The Minnesota Freedom Fighters was formed in late May after the NAACP chapter in the city’s north, predominantly black, neighborhood put out a call for residents to help protect small businesses from violence, fires and looting.

A group of about two dozen men gathered and have patrolled the streets since, carrying AR-15s and Glocks and wearing tactical vests and bandannas.

They have been welcomed by the city, who called their actions ‘commendable’.

When there are no cops you’re on you’re own.

I will say: Leftist standards are so high they’re double.

If a bunch of armed white guys was patrolling the neighborhood, they would be called the Klan.  They already do that to open carry protesters.

Defund the Police has failed everywhere it’s been tried.  It’s the zenith of limousine liberal, rich white Progressive, soft bigotry of low expectations pandering.

Minneapolis made it’s bed, now it has to sleeping in it.  Fuck ’em.

CNN beat the TV competition in total viewers Saturday with 4.2 million (as well as leading for adults 25-54 and younger viewers 18-34), according to Nielsen. MSNBC was second with 3 million, Fox News Channel third with 1.73 million.

I think it was Rush Limbaugh that said something like this about elected people changing when they moves to DC: it was hard for some to remain faithful to principles when you are surrounded by your moral competitors. The need to be a part of a community will eventually lead the weak to forsake their beliefs. They also want to be invited to parties and be recognized and that does not happen if you dare to be different, so they change to fit.

This also applies to Fox News. NYC is/was the great Media center and Fox News was seen as the interloper, the Rodney Dangerfield dressed in loud clothes invading the immaculate sanctity of the country club golf course. But eventually they started to change and behave more and more as the competition. I gave up on them as source of news when Sheppard Smith was granted the channel’s top celebrity spotlight and he finally started to show his hidden liberal feathers.  I believe what they did to O’Reilley was morally dishonest and their lack of backbone defending Hannity and Tucker Carlson speaks volumes about where management truly stands.

And then came the 2020 election where the Never-Trumpers and other selected Liberals in Red decided to support the Democrats.  I guess that was pretty much the last nail for millions of viewers, enough to send the channel behind MSNBC in electoral ratings, something I think it has not happened since the network was created.

The worst part? Don’t expect the other side to come flocking and make up for lost ratings: They are so hated by Liberals that a traditional “Insult” against Conservatives is to be told he watches too much Fox News.

And after this election, it has indeed become an insult.

We are supposed to be told if a body is ever found. 😀

So I will be spending time again rebuilding the databases for the Florida Legislature. I won’t complain much since it seems we made great strides in this election. We picked 7 seats in the House for a 78 to 42 distribution.  In the Senate, as of right now we stand at 23 Republicans and 16 Democrats while we wait for  a recount of District 37 between Republican Ileana Garcia and Democrat Jose Javier Rodriguez.

Either way, the Florida legislature remains firmly Republican. Let’s see if we can convince them to stop being wusses and get us some nice pro-gun bills?
