This will be permanent in one way or another

9/11 happened during my freshman year at college.
I remember visiting a buddy in NYC who was in my high school graduation class. His first job was there after he finished college, so this was four years after 9/11.
When I got to NYC, there were still NY State National Guard patrolling the big train station and at a few important locations around the city.
I suspect that once the Guard has been deployed to DC for the new “war on domestic terror” it will never fully go away.
They will claim that the Biden Administration needs continued protection after the inauguration and DC will be patrolled by the Guard for years to come. Not at the same numbers, 20,000 troops in that small of an area is pretty packed in. But I would venture that somewhere between 2,500 and 5,000 troops will be on permanent DC patrol for the next four years at least and the concertina wire will never fully come down.
Florida Legislature 2021: Updated list of Gun Bills – Bad News (What’s new, right?).
Here you go: 12 Bad Bills and only 4 Good Bills.
HB 25 | Sales of Ammunition | Daley | Bad Bill |
HB 27 | Pub. Rec./Sales of Ammunition | Daley | Bad Bill |
HB 123 | Carrying of Firearms Without Licenses | Sabatini | Good Bill |
HB 167 | Sale, Transfer, or Storage of Firearms | Hunschofsky | Bad Bill |
HB 213 | Regulation of Concealed Weapons and Firearms | Andrade, Gregory | Good Bill |
SB 294 | Safe Storage of Loaded Firearms | Farmer | Bad Bill |
SB 330 | Sale and Delivery of Firearms | Farmer | Bad Bill |
SB 370 | Assault Weapons and Large-capacity Magazines | Farmer | Bad Bill |
SB 372 | Three-dimensional Printed Firearms | Stewart | Bad Bill |
SB 428 | Sale, Transfer, or Storage of Firearms | Polsky | Bad Bill |
SB 498 | Safety of Religious Institutions | Gruters | Bad Bill |
SB 560 | Prohibited Recordkeeping Relating to Firearms or Firearm Owners | Farmer | Bad Bill |
SB 672 | Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition Regulation | Taddeo | Bad Bill |
HB 6001 | Licenses to Carry Concealed Weapons or Firearms | Sabatini | Good Bill |
HB 6005 | Restrictions on Firearms and Ammunition During Emergencies | Sabatini | Good Bill |
HB 6033 | Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition | Daley | Bad Bill |
Not only we have the usual load of bad bills, but we really have some with companion bills that makes the dangerous: The elimination of Preemption of Firearms and Ammunition And the Safe Storage. This means they are looking to have something passed no matter what to get the avalanche going.
They are looking to eliminate the prohibition of record keeping so a gun registration can be instituted. And also the elimination of preemption when it comes to Concealed Carry, thankfully no companion bills yet, but some of the bad bills are already scheduled for hearing.
And somebody needs to get in touch with Senator Gruters (R) and inform him his bill (SB 498) although well intentioned, is a disaster waiting to happen: It does not solve the question of what happens if a church shares space with an educational facility and introduces the very dangerous precedent of ruling Gun Free Zones by sign rather than by law. It will get the nightmare of Posted Locations with the weight of the Law. Anybody from the Sarasota area needs to point out the problem. The bill that was offered last year had Bipartisanship support.
Get in touch with your Senators and see if they can craft a companion bill for all the Sabatini bills, specially HB 123, Constitutional Carry. I think if we get this one passed, we can re-start our old Pro Gun avalanche.
OK people, let’s get our shit together. The Democrats are pissed as hell Florida went from regular red to crimson red and I bet they are willing to do what they feel they need to do to make the Republican weasel out.
AOC accuses Capitol Police of conspiring to murder her
She has gone full bat-shit insane.
.@AOC, on Instagram, reflects on the Capitol Hill riot: “I thought I was going to die. And you have all of those thoughts where, at the end of your life, all of these thoughts come rushing to you … I did not know if I was going to make out of that day alive.” pic.twitter.com/JX0gLNtMAY

AOC gets emotional: “White supremacists [were] ordered by President Trump to attack the Capitol”
“There were acts of betrayal [b the police]. And, to run in the Capitol and not know if an officer is there to help you or harm you, is also quite traumatizing” pic.twitter.com/8poER7JYqt

This is nuts.
For a mob that was supposedly there to assassinate half of Congress, they were poorly armed.
Beyond that, suggesting that members of the Capitol Police were in on the assassination attempt and she couldn’t trust them not to kill her, this is among the worst conspiracy theories I’ve heard yet.
Yesterday I posted about how she said that fellow members of Congress were in on the assassination attempt too and that she couldn’t trust them either.
The Democrats need to tamp this down because she’s claiming that Republican Congressmen and Capitol Police were in on a conspiracy to murder her and fellow Democrats and can’t be trusted.
This is the kind of paranoia that caused totalitarian to purge subordinates.
She is off her fucking rocker and needs to tone it down.
New York to finish off the NYPD
The NYPD will be no more. It might exist on paper but the rank and file officers will quit and there will not be enough police to manage the city ever again.
New York State Sues NYPD Over Its Handling Of 2020 Racial Justice Protests
New York Attorney General Letitia James has filed a lawsuit against the New York City Police Department, citing “a pattern of using excessive force and making false arrests against New Yorkers during peaceful protests” that sought racial justice and other changes.
James’ office says it has received “more than 1,300 complaints and pieces of evidence” about the police response to the protests in New York City. It’s now seeking a court order “declaring that the policies and practices that the NYPD used during these protests were unlawful.”
Along with the court order, the attorney general is asking for policy reforms, as well as a monitor to be installed to oversee the NYPD’s tactics and handling of future protests.
The city was in chaos. Police were attacked. Looting was happening in NYC’s shopping district. Stores were burned.
Now the AG is going to make the NYPD suffer for trying to regain control.
The next time a riot happens, I expect most the NYPD to say “fuck it, let it burn.”
And they should.
New York is a shithole. If the Left wants to finish it off with a mob, I don’t care.
