I feel bad for these two cops because you know what the investigation is going to conclude

Police launch an investigation after three women are filmed twerking on top of a cop car in Chicago

Chicago police are investigating after video of three women twerking on top of a police car went viral over the weekend.

In the footage, which has been viewed almost a million times, a patrol car can be seen driving slowly through a crowd of people while three women twerk on the roof and hood of the vehicle.

You can clearly hear the officer in the passenger seat say “get off the car” as he gestures for them to get down.

This is what happens when the community has neither fear nor respect for the police.

They have neither fear nor respect because they know that the police are more afraid of getting caught on cellphone video being rough with suspects than they are off stuff like this happening.

The conclusion to this investigation should be the police need to be less hamstrung by the Leftist city government and Mayor Beetlejuice to enforce the law.

Instead, these two officers will probably be punished.

Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

It’s sad because I honestly love Chicago.  The gun laws suck but I loved visiting the nice parts of Chicago when I lived in the suburbs.  Soon there will be no nice parts of Chicago to go visit.

The skills gap

This was an amazing piece of testimony.

We are seeing this all around us every day.

I can tell you that in engineering it is a problem where fundamentals have been lost in favor of transitioning to technology.

I had a conversation not too long ago where someone was very surprised I was a heat treater under 40.  Almost all of materials science has gone to semiconductors and silicon technology and meta-materials.  There is very little “turn iron ore into pig iron, pig iron into steel, steel into parts” taught in materials science anymore.  The attitude has been “that’s all bing done in China and India cheaper so why bother knowing it, we should focus on the advanced stuff.”

Then the shit hits the fan, a boat get stuck in the Suez canal, the Chinese lose control of a virus that restricts international trade, and all of a sudden we need domestic steel production and the only guys who know how to operate an oxygen blast furnace all have one foot in retirement.

The skills gap is real and it is hurting us more than we realize.

And just because this is a personal bugaboo of mine on a very similar topic of skils being replaced by technology: iron sights.

Optics are great and I’m glad they’ve become as cheap and plentiful as they have, but that’s no excuse not to be able to shoot irons.  Optics are glass, glass is more fragile than steel.  Batteries die.  Learn to shoot with iron sights.  If you can do that, you can always shoot optics, but being able to shoot optics doesn’t mean you can shoot irons.

Learn to shoot irons.

I love the new Pride flag, the unintentional messaging is spot on

It’s perfect.

This was the intent of the original Pride flag:

It goes back to 1978, when the artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, designed the first rainbow flag. Baker later revealed that he was urged by Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., to create a symbol of pride for the gay community. Baker decided to make that symbol a flag because he saw flags as the most powerful symbol of pride. As he later said in an interview, “Our job as gay people was to come out, to be visible, to live in the truth, as I say, to get out of the lie. A flag really fit that mission, because that’s a way of proclaiming your visibility or saying, ‘This is who I am!’” Baker saw the rainbow as a natural flag from the sky, so he adopted eight colors for the stripes, each color with its own meaning (hot pink for sex, red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, turquoise for art, indigo for harmony, and violet for spirit).

The first versions of the rainbow flag were flown on June 25, 1978, for the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade. Baker and a team of volunteers had made them by hand, and now he wanted to mass-produce the flag for consumption by all. However, because of production issues, the pink and turquoise stripes were removed and indigo was replaced by basic blue, which resulted in the contemporary six-striped flag (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet). Today this is the most common variant of the rainbow flag, with the red stripe on top, as in a natural rainbow. The various colors came to reflect both the immense diversity and the unity of the LGBTQ community.

Apparently, that was not diverse enough so they had to add to it.

But it’s the way they added to it that is so outstanding.

The best polling information shows that gays and lesbians, actual homosexuals, make up about 4% of the general population.

Trans people who actually take steps to transition (not just some guy who grows his hair out long to call himself a lesbian on a gay dating app or a high schooler on Tumblr) are about 0.2% of the population.

Intersex people, those born with congenital or genetic birth defects that result in ambiguous sexual features, are about 0.05% of the population.

For the new Pride flag, Trans and Intersex are now totally covering up LGB.

Also, the original Pride flag had nothing to do with race, but the new Pride flag has to make black and brown stand out.

This is a perfect representation of Progressivism, the smaller the identifiable group the louder they can shout about their grievances, and the more attention they get and the more they can dominate the conversation.

I can’t wait until next year when the Pride rainbow will become the minority of the flag as new identity micro-groups will be added to increase intersectionality.

A Liberal leader somewhere has to be sorry

Whomever came up with the idea of forcing cops to wear bodycams, never thought it would backfire so spectacularly. In this day and age where any accusation against  cop, no matter how stupid is taken as truthful, this officer without a camera would have been in trouble.

And reason 232 why I am not a cop:

“You scared me and make me think you were gonna murder me.”
“Not while on duty, ma’am. Maybe later”

Dear Miami: Do we have a Gang War ?

Another Drive-by.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two people were killed in a suspected drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning in the Brownsville area of Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade police say they responded to a ShotSpotter alert just before 1 a.m. in the 5200 block of Northwest 29th Avenue to find a silver BMW crashed into a fence and two people inside it with gunshot wounds.

A woman was declared dead at the scene. A man was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he died from his injuries hours later, authorities say.

2 dead after another drive-by shooting in Miami-Dade (local10.com)

Brownsville is not one of the best areas in Miami. It is one where you drive locked and loaded and leave as fast as you can hoping you don’t have to stop for anything. So, nobody is surprised to find out about a couple shot to death

I believe we have is a war from those gangs that do exist in South Florida, but you are not supposed to mention because it scares the tourists. Usually they will stay in their neighborhood and kill each other where they can be ignored and go unreported by the Media which is what the powers that be seem to pray for.

Unfortunately with the drive-by at the “Banquet Hall” (It was never permitted for that BTW and got shut down by the county) in the Northwest of the county followed by the other drive-by at the hooka lounge in Kendal in the South (both areas traditionally deemed safe from gangs,) we can safely say the critters are no longer staying inside their boundaries or they decided to expand those boundaries exponentially.

The expansion of their shooting galleries is worrisome, but what scares me more is that I do not see the County and city officials with enough balls to bring this down to noise floor level again. And the cops and officials with balls who took care of issues like this in the past, are long retired and the lessons they learned probably long lost in the vowels of the Church of BLM.

Moving could not come up at a better time.
