Our things arrived earlier today and we have to unload all the boxes into the garage so they come take this thing away and not charge us for an extra month of rental.

PS: Newspapers here are as bad and lefty as down in Miami and 90 miles past that. I am going to give myself 6 months before I cut them off because I need to know the players, but I believe the news game is as rigged as anywhere else.

HOUSTON — As the state reels from increased hospitalizations being driven by the rampant delta variant, a major Texas hospital system has confirmed its first case of the emergent COVID-19 lambda variant.

Houston Methodist Hospital, whose network includes eight hospitals, confirmed the case Monday involving what the World Health Organization has deemed a “variant of interest,” ABC News reported.

Another “new” experience: Smoke from the fires out West combining with the local fog and making for an eerie morning.

Fog is kind of weird in South Florida and when it happens, it dissipates rather fast between the wind and the sun burning through it. And when the Everglades catch on fire, we will have smoke, it once again the breeze will take care of it rather fast. When I was living here in the 80’s I got caught in heavy fog at night driving outside Knoxville and scared the crap out of me since I could not see past the effing hood of the truck. I pulled over, got out, walked away as far as I could and waited till it lifted. Zero visual references (like visible road) is simply too much of a challenge for me behind the wheel.

And according to the NWS, we are going to be dealing with this crap all day.  Good thing I am expecting my moving container today (was supposed to be here yesterday) so I have no need to go out.

Yesterday I brought you the news that several FBI agents pretty much arranged the domestic terrorist kidnapping of Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

An FBI agent at the center of the investigation into the plot to kidnap and kill Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is accused of smashing his wife’s head against a nightstand and choking her after a dispute stemming from their attendance at a swingers’ party, according to court records.

Special Agent Richard Trask, 39, of Kalamazoo, was charged Monday with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, less than murder following the alleged incident Sunday.

An affidavit filed by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office in Kalamazoo County District Court said Trask’s wife had bloody lacerations to the right side of her head and “blood all over chest, clothing arms and hand,” as well as “severe” bruising to her neck and throat.

She told police she and her husband had several drinks at a swingers’ party held at a hotel in the 2700 block of S. 11 Street in Oshtemo Township, just west of Kalamazoo, according to the affidavit. She added that she did not like the party and they argued about it on the way home.

Once they arrived home, Trask got on top of her in their bed and “then grabbed the side of her head and smashed it several times on the nightstand,” according to the affidavit.

Aside from his FBI duties, Trask opened a gym at his rural property in Oshtemo Township near Kalamazoo and offers CrossFit training, according to social media posts and state business filings. He filed state paperwork for BCB Health & Wellness last year and maintains an active Instagram account showing him exercising, flexing and posing shirtless.

Guns sales have been up, but they really spiked starting in the summer of 2020.

The “summer of love.”

Where Americans watched as people burned buildings, looted, beat people in the street, committed murder, blocked traffic and assaulted drivers, and turned our cities into thrid world war zones as the media voiceovers called them “mostly peaceful protests.”

Americans watched as COVID was the excuse given to release tens of thousands of prisoners and ending the detainment of suspects before trial.

This was exacerbated by Progressive cities engaging in bail reform.

Americans watched as police came under rhetorical attack and were defunded by city governments, so became massively short-handed and stopped patrolling.

Asians and Jews were attacked on the streets in broad daylight.

You can’t turn on the news about Washington DC, Atlanta, or Chicago and not see stories about weekends where 50 or more people were shot.

You can’t turn on the news about New York City or San Francisco and not see stories about subway stabbings and people being shoved in front of trains.

The violent crime and homicide rates in city after city jumped by 40%, 50%, and in some cases over 100%.

Our metropolitan areas are out of control.

A lot of eyes have been opened.  When the police have been defunded and the Woke DAs refuse to prosecute for reasons of “equity,”  it becomes crystal clear that nobody is coming to save you and you better be ready to protect yourself.

But David “child burner” Chipman has nothing but contempt for law-abiding Americans who want to be able to defend themselves the next time everything goes to shit around them and the police are nowhere to be found.
