HOUSTON — As the state reels from increased hospitalizations being driven by the rampant delta variant, a major Texas hospital system has confirmed its first case of the emergent COVID-19 lambda variant.
Houston Methodist Hospital, whose network includes eight hospitals, confirmed the case Monday involving what the World Health Organization has deemed a “variant of interest,” ABC News reported.

Here’s the thing no one in the mass media is going to tell you: Coronaviridae is a family of viruses. SARS, MERS, Covid-19, diarrhea, hepatitis, encephalomyelitis, and the common cold are all caused by viruses from various subfamilies within the Coronaviridae family…
The entire family is known to incredibly widespread and subject to fairly quick mutations. Famously, this is why there is “no cure for the common cold.”
They can (and probably will) be finding new variants of the SARS-CoVID-2 strain for centuries to come… On the bright side, the mass media will probably stop pushing the panic porn over every new variant as soon as they have a war against some third-world brown people the Democrat Party and/or Labor Party want to launch.
But, you see, SARS-CoV-2 has extra-special symptoms: fever, inflammatory response, and blood clotting. We can’t expect pharma researchers to come up with some miracle drug that treats all those things, so we could just take two pills and call our doctors in the morning! We must prevent infections at all costs!
The other thing the fear pushers want us to ignore is that viruses in general, and airborne coronaviruses in particular, trend toward is greater contagion but lower severity. Sick people in bed or dying don’t easily spread the disease. Otherwise healthy people with sniffles do.
And I have to ask as well, exactly HOW are they differentiating between “variants,” how can they tell the difference between a Rona mutation and a common cold, and how accurate ARE these tests? I never see these addressed; there is no logic or evidence, only fear pushing.
This virus is endemic, and is never, ever going away. I hear rumbling the White House wants everyone back in masks now, even the vaccinated.This isn’t going to end until enough people collectively tell “health officials” like Fraudci to go to hell. I’m not doing Covid for another winter. Or ever again, for that matter.
