Month: August 2021

I am glad I missed the Tennessee Permitless Carry battle.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – With the new permitless carry law, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) has more concern this year than ever before.

There have been nearly 500 car break-ins in Shelby County so far this year.

While it is a large number, Detective Toby Shaw with SCSO says it shows some progress in comparison to previous years. In 2019, there were over 800 break-ins overall and in 2020, there were over one 1,000 for the entire year.

Shaw says many break-ins are done by teens.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Office issues warning for gun owners who leave guns in their vehicles (wmcactionnews5.com)

And this morning I was reading in the local rags about TSA complaining about people accidentally bringing their sidearms to the security check ins at Nashville Airport. I am sure that tomorrow or the day after, we will read about how Permitless Carry also contributed to the spread of the Delta variant, the conflict in the Middle East and also Hair Loss in women.

It has been a month since the law came into effect and these type of news articles are simply the reflection of desperation because the Media and the Left knew for a fact that Wild West shootouts were coming. But since the proverbial bus full of orphans has not been shot to pieces by the local Rednecks, the best they can do is blame the rash of car break ins on the object rather than the culprits.

But just because the Media is comprised by idiots, that does not mean your responsibility ends and you get to leave your firearm unsecured inside your car. Our vehicle is now containing not one, not two, but three safe boxes to lock guns in case of need if a packing relative is with the missus an I and we must enter a prohibited area.

With prices beginning at $40 and under, you have no excuse not to have one in your vehicle.  And shit will happen, just ask J Kb.

In which I actually argue for a new Federal LEO agency

On my last post about Biden ignoring the Supreme Court and imposing a new eviction moratorium, reader RT left this comment:

What will Chief Justice John Roberts do?

That will tell you how this CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS will be resolved.

What needs to be resolved? Whether SCOTUS and the US Court System are still Equal Independent Powers under the US Constitution. Or is SCOTUS just a debating society that can be ignored by the Exective.Branch when convenient?

Chief Justice Roberts has to call the Court back into session this week, or admit that his “deep concerns” about the power and legitimacy of SCOTUS he expressed as he ducked hard decisions and even changed his vote are absolute BS. He will confirm he is a pusillanimous failure.

Chief Justice John Roberts will DESTROY SCOTUS if he does not act.

Minority Leaders McConnell and McCarthy both better get off their butts and start screaming loud and hard, or the Congress will soon be neutered like the US Court System.

Here is my idea, and I don’t know if it will require a Constitutional Amendment or not.  If it doesn’t, this needs to be a top priority for Republicans if they ever regain the government.

Create a federal law enforcement agency that is under the control of the Supreme Court and answers to the Chief Justice.

Much how the Capitol Police are answerable to Congress and the Speaker of the House.

The Federal Bailiffs (my proposed name) will have the powers of arrest within the jurisdiction of the United States of any government official who violates an order of the Supreme Court.

The Court will have its own set of teeth to enforce decisions.

If a president or governor or whomever ignores the Supreme Court, the Court can have that person arrested.

This next part probably will require a Constitutional Amendment, but I’d go so far as to say that the Court’s arrest of a president automatically compels impeachment.  The House doesn’t necessarily have to indict and send to the senate, but the House has to at least hold the hearing.

The Court needs to have the tools to enforce their decisions as a co-equal branch of government. Without teeth it can be ignored.

After the threat is neutralized, don’t let your emotions get the better of you

The police say the first shooting was justified.

When the driver came back to finish the robber off, that was a second incident and a criminal one.

Now a guy who legally defended himself is going to go to prison because he got angry and did something stupid and murderous.

Lots of people are learning a hard lesson today about President Biden’s opinion of the Constitution

This is going to go on all day as anti-Trumpers and moderate normies who hated Trump discover that Biden is happy to violate the Constitution if nobody is there to stop him.

Hard lessons being learned today.

Law school professor learns that the Constitution is just a piece of ass-wipe paper if nobody enforces the law

I’m shocked.

The Constitution is just a fucking piece of paper that we all agree to abideby, not a magic scroll, and if nobody has the ability or impetus to enforce its limitations, it’s just a bit of 232-year old singly ply ass-wipe.

What happens when Biden get away with this and next time says “I know this is unconstitutional, and permanent, but you didn’t stop me last time so now I’m just gonna do whatever I want.”

A lot of legal scholars are going to learn a lot of hard lessons real soon.

The Taliban is actively proving why our anti-gun Generals are idiots

I have written about this before, but the Taliban is actively proving it on the world stage right now.

The predictable collapse of the Afghan Air Force is happening in real time

About one-third of the Afghan Air Force’s 160 aircraft can no longer fly because they lack spare parts since the United States withdrew its contractors from the country, Afghan lawmaker Haji Ajmal Rahmani reportedly said during a recent webinar sponsored by the State Department Correspondents Association.

The Afghan Air Force has also run out of laser-guided precision munitions, Rahmani said.

The Taliban has also launched a concerted effort to assassinate Afghan pilots, potentially depriving the Kabul government of the one military advantage it has.

So the Taliban is not shooting Afghan jet fighters out of the sky in dogfights.

They are shooting pilots and trained repair technicians on the ground when the planes land to rearm.

Also note the lack of parts available to repair the aircraft.

So extrapolate that to the US.

Those parts are made in factories in America and shipped by truck to Air Force facilities.

Those are supply lines that are vulnerable to sabotage and attack.

So are the pilots and repair crew.

America has not fought a war since 1865 where our domestic military manufacturing capacity was vulnerable to attack.

The generals and politicians are saying they can trounce us because they have drones and jet fighters and tanks, and we don’t.

At the same time the Taliban is defeating the US military supplied Afghan Army with AKs.

This is why we lost Afghanistan after 20 years of combat, our military leaders are arrogant  morons.

Which, honestly, is good news if they ever decide to turn the US military against us (and don’t say that won’t happen, just look Down Under right now for that).
