16. You have a panic attack every time a police car is behind you
Although I disagree 100% with number 16, it is a worthwhile and true list. As with any culture, we have our idiosyncrasies. 🙂
I as not aware of this site, so it goes into my feed.
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

I’m assuming the red states are “may issue” states?
Nevada is a “shall issue” state.
The one time I was stopped while carrying (for tags on a new car) I handed the rookie motor officer my drivers license and CCW, he looked at the CCW and asked, “what’s this?”
“I’m assuming the red states are “may issue” states?”
No.
Yeah, I’ve not gotten any more or less nervous when I see a cop following. But PA doesn’t have a disclosure requirement, so when I’ve been stopped in Pennsylvania, I’ve never disclosed.
I live in rural Alaska. I know the troopers by name. They know I carry and encourage it. In Fairbanks, open and concealed carry are common. No worries. Anchorage is North Seattle. The cops and security often know the law and are okay to deal with. They may request that you cover an OC firearm to assuage the hoplophobia of the tourists. Elsewhere, the tourists are told to get over it or to get out.
I’m 80% disagreement with 16.
I’m not concerned about a cop pulling me over while I’m legally armed. I AM concerned that that stop MIGHT turn into one of those where a nervous cop with only mediocre training with the gun that’s in his holster and no familiarity with any other gun decides that a legally armed man with his hands on the wheel at 11 and 1:00 is a bit to scary so he’ll want to take my gun off me personally and has himself an ND into one of my major arteries.
So much that I have a step-by step requests about my fears, and my preference for my safe-handling of my firearm by another unknown person rehearsed in my head so I can deliver them calm and composed in the event this happens.
So far the last time I was pulled over was BEFORE I bought my first gun.
So what you are saying is that you don’t want to be pulled over by half the police entities in South Florida 🙂
I actually don’t do 17 either. Otherwise, spot on.
Let me make your day Miguel. After talking, reasoning and even pleading with her my daughter just got her Florida CCW. Color me ecstatic!
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get her Kathy Jackson’s book The Cornered Cat. I am sure she will see things from a new and different perspective.
