If somebody bothers you with a comment that you find offensive, you can go ahead and trash the comment and ban the guy/gal from your blog. You don’t need to go the extra dick mile and classify him as Spam to “teach him a lesson.”

And also, you fellow bloggers do not have waste time to scour the Spam Folder rescuing them from the grinder. We can disagree, but be polite about it.

      1. I wonder who? I want to join you #ImBlockedByShannonWatts guys at the Cool Kids Table… But I never touch Twitter.

        1. Bonus points if you also join the #ImBlockedByAnitaSerkeesian club.

My Twitter is only for funny and inane comments, I find it helps me keep a cool head there when politics come up.

          1. I would have to play video games far more than I do /and/ natter about them on the Internet to even pop up on Sarkessian’s radar.

I have zero doubts she’d invoke Reasoned Discourse(tm) on me if we ever did interact. I’m everything SJWs despise.

          2. The real irony is that she’s nothing more than a mouthpiece for Jonathan McIntyre, a straight, white, male trust-fund kiddy who’s more privileged than I’ll ever be AND is pretty much a part of the Patriarchy.

  1. In almost 6 years, I have never deleted a comment. And I have gotten some real doosies. The ones like that I let stand even if I don’t respond. Let people see what kind of dicks we deal with, without being a dick. Something about catching more fly’s with honey.

  2. I don’t even think I’m a dick in any of my blog comments (of which there are few) but I know I’ve ended up in your spam trap sometimes (I assume not due to your actions).

    1. Hell, you have to be a miserable dick 4 times in a row for me to trash & ban you. That is my guideline…unless it is a flow of unnecessary cussing. Those get the boot then and I think I only had one.

  3. You had to pull me out the spam once. Since I try to be as non-obnoxious as I can, I never did figure out who I might have PO’ed or how. I generally save vitriol for meat space.

  4. I will say that when I get random messages on Skype from attractive women between the ages of 16 and 21, I always block and report spam.

Only two types of “women” message a random guy on Skype: porn shills and scam artists.

Also did it when one guy started spewing disgustingly racist comments and when another guy IM’d me without permission to accuse me of trying to steal his girlfriend.

    1. What if I told you about this “one weird trick” about the “shocking new law” about “hot singles in your area” that want you to make $1,000’s every month from home by playing Game of War?
