From 2010:
So they opened fire. Some students counted five shots, others counted six. Anderson would not say how many rounds hit the gunman.
Cowan fell to the ground, his shoes just feet from door to the library full of teenagers. The pistol in his hand had seven bullets in the magazine and another in the chamber. He had a second handgun in his back pocket, loaded with five rounds.

School Resource Officer Carolyn Gudger manages to contain the would-be shooter till back up arrives.
Yep, armed security at schools is such a bad idea….
Clearly this is the fault of the US education system. If he would have been able to read the no guns sign, she would have never had to shoot him to begin with. Secondly, the situation would have turned out better if she just would have followed FEMA/Brady instructions, gave him what he wanted, not resisted, hid under a desk and then only threw books at him if he didn’t quit like a good little boy.
Universal armed security in schools is a bad idea, despite this. Resource officers often wind up as a tool for lazy administrators–instead of detention, file charges. I’m fine with guards or resource officers where needed, as determined by the school.
But merely allowing carry would help prevent spree shootings more than armed guards, and it’s free.
Amen. Getting rid of gun free zones would be a step in the right direction. The sheeple just don’t get it.
We do have to understand that the priority here is protect kids, not take a political stance like the Opposition. Yes, I want Gun Free Zones eliminated and teachers with the ability to carry concealed at school, but I also know it is not gonna happen tomorrow or even in 6 months.
Yes, remove the tumor to the brain is important but if you do not put a tourniquet in that hemorrhaging leg, you will be dead just the same. Only a bit faster than intended.
And you have evidence to back this up? Oh, wait, of course you don’t, because there is none!
Sorry, wrong post. Please ignore.
[…] But when a good guy has a gun and is where they need to be, don’t expect national coverage. […]
Do you have an alternate link? They appear to have quashed this story to maintain the narrative.
Link looks fine to me.
With 300 million firearms in private hands (one-third of them pistols), the overwhelming majority of gun owners ARE responsible, law-abiding citizens, which is why horrific massacres are not commonplace, but rather terrible outliers that can never be legislated away (e.g. DC, Chicago, and “Gun Free Zones”).
For several examples for the recent use of firearms for defensive purposes not typically reported by the national media please visit: http://www.equalforce.net and forward this site to others to whom this information may be useful. @forceequalizer
I apologize, but your post got caught in the spam filer and I did not catch it till now.
If you watch the video they held eachother at gunpoint for atleast 10 minutes. She tried to talk to him. Most people would of shot the first minute. She did a great job. Should be more of her.
I think she did a great service to the children and all schools should pay Heed !!!!
