Saw this last night in Twitter. So the NRA is being attacked by every Gun Control group and other organizations and somehow this group decided to join in the Opposition as a recruiting and fundraising tool?

  1. Other groups are seeing green with the current (mostly ignorant) dissatisfaction with the NRA. As soon as whoever is running the Firearms Policy Coalition gets an invite to sit down with the President, I’ll join their group. Like GOA, I’ve never seen this group mentioned outside of pro-gun websites.

  2. NRA leadership needs to be whipped back into shape if they are going to survive. That being said, the above meme doesn’t help gun rights either. Like it or not, the NRA is the figure head in the gun rights culture war. If they lose, we lose hands down. But leadership has to be reminded by their voting members why they exist as an organization. Backing “Gun Violence Restraining Orders” and violating a person’s 2A, 4A, 5A and 14A rights isn’t anything the NRA should be supporting.

  3. There is a lot of discontent with the NRA in my area (Eastern Wash). With them seemingly not trying to counter I-594 (no more private sales w/o a transfer) in 2014 and more recently with our own state bump stock ban (sure theyre useless but theyre OUR useless accessory and if I want to get one I should be able to) The NRA leadership agreeing with a bump stock ban has only increased that.
