Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went to a migrant detention center in El Paso, Texas yesterday.

Her reports from inside the detention center were extreme, to say the least.  She made the accusation that Border Patrol agents were forcing migrant women to drink out of the toilet.

It was later confirmed, by Rep Ocasio-Cortez herself, they were instructed to drink out of the sink part of a prison-style sink-toilet combo fixture.  Because she couldn’t apologize and be reasonable, she stated the sink was broken and migrants were still told to drink out of the bowl.

This was in fact the type of toilet we saw in the cell.

Except there was just one, and the sink portion was not functioning – @AyannaPressley smartly tried to open the faucet, and nothing came out.

She also stated one of the women there “described their treatment at the hands of officers as ‘psychological warfare.’”

Maybe this is just my prejudice, but I have a hard time believing that a destitute migrant from a third world country like El Salvador, would very specifically use the phrase ‘psychological warfare’ without extensive coaching.

Her accusations of the conditions from inside the detention center are not the most egregious thing that she did.  Not by far.

She wasn’t safe from the CBP agents.

This isn’t the only time she said this.  She also made that accusation on her official Twitter.

Just left the 1st CBP facility.

I see why CBP officers were being so physically &sexually threatening towards me.

Officers were keeping women in cells w/ no water & had told them to drink out of the toilets.

This was them on their GOOD behavior in front of members of Congress.

Let me see if I get this straight.

The most famous current Member of the House on social media, and perhaps the second most famous politician on social media (after President Trump), is afraid that US Federal law enforcement officers under the Department of Homeland Security are going to hurt her, sexually assault her, and perhaps even rape and kill her, while she is on an official Congressional tour?

Is she nuts?

Then her Chief of Staff doubled down.

Again, Rep Ocasio-Cortez and her Chief of Staff want me to believe that a sworn Federal law enforcement officer is going to shoot a Congresswoman with his duty weapon during a sanctioned tour of a Federal facility.

Tell me exactly how exactly in that hypothetical scenario, the offending officer was going to get away with that and not bring down on himself, the facility, and the whole of the CBP and perhaps DHS the largest manhunt and criminal investigation in Texas history?

This ranks right up there with David Hogg claiming to have been the victim of seven assassination attempts for delusional victim status.  But she isn’t just some jackass media whore, she’s a sitting United States Congresswoman and such accusations must be investigated.

My feeling is that she’s trying to #MeToo CBP out of a budget.

Whatever she’s trying to do, this is clearly going to a level that we’ve never seen before in politics.
