It ticks me off to no end that the Florida Legislative session is in full swing and I don’t see our State Gun Right Groups keeping us informed of anything that is going on to the point I think I am the only idiot tracking and publishing bills ion both the Senate and the House.

So we need to start bothering the committees and sub-committees that will be considering the many frigging bills we have on the schedule. I have been putting about 4 to 6 hours a day scouring the House and Senate websites, reading the bills and trying to figure out what do they mean.  Trying to cross reference and check against other states’ laws and the occasional scholarly article and all for free. Add the fact that I keep hoping our gun rights association get on the move with this crap going on and I don’t do anybody doing shit which is frustrating as hell. And I am also being mom’s caregiver so you can say I am Lilly Von Sctump tired.

What do I need? A couple of volunteers that are willing to create target listings of emails and phones for members of the committees and sub-committees overseeing the bills so Florida Gun Owners can start pestering them.  I am sorry I don’t have a couple of billions (or hundreds for that matter) to hire some Cyber PR  firm to do the job, but the job still needs to be done. Also, if you can write good and passionately about the subject, I will need your expertise.

It is not going to be sexy, it will not give you recognition or win you an award at the next Gun Rights convention, there will be no viral YouTube videos of you and more than likely you won’t get gun stuff to do shooting tests: It will just be miserable work to see if we survive the onslaught of bad gun bills we have in the Legislature.

I will take anybody, but I think as matter of personal pride, Floridians should be doing this and not readers from Nebraska or Oregon.
