Anti-big truck hate is a religion

Another day, another Leftist asshole going on a rant about how terrible bog trucks and the people who drive them are.

He’s not entirely wrong.  Trucks have gotten stupid expensive.  A new truck payment is now what a mortgage payment should be.  And big trucks aren’t exactly the most fuel efficient vehicles.

And, to be fair, a lot of suburban Americans dont need huge trucks.  I used to drive a 2nd generation long bed Ranger and it did about 97% of what I needed a pickup to do.

If you want a big truck, have it.  This is America.

I have a Ram 2500 Powerwagon and I love her, but she goes get about 9 MPG with the 6.4 Hemi and 35 inch mud tires.  (The Powerwagon doesn’t come in a diesel, and even if it did, the diesel is a $12,000 option and half a million miles, the fuel efficiency and increased cost of diesel doesn’t make up for the initial cost of the diesel engine.)

I have a 1st gen Tundra, which is much smaller, that I use as a work truck and it’s fully capable of doing everything I need it to.

The point is, there should be options for compact trucks.  If there were, I highly suspect more people would buy them.

The problem is this assholesl’s solution is more government action.  Tax big trucks more.  Make drivers get CDLs.

That only makes it worse.

Here is a video on why there are no more compact trucks.

The real solution is to eliminate the CAFE standards.

It should be possible to built something like a 3rd gen Ranger or S10 with a new engine and get 25+ MPGs.  But the government won’t allow that to be built economically.

But this asshole is a Leftist.

Government is his God and government regulations are his religion.

He hates big trucks and he hates the people who like big trucks, and he wants to impose his religion on them.

He can’t conceive of that idea that government actually created this problem and that deregulation is the solution.

So he’ll demand more of the thing that creates the perverse incentive to make huge expensive trucks.

Make every 2500 a commercial vehicle and everyone who wants one will get a Class B CDL (which is what you need for a large RV, so not difficult to get), then set up an LLC (also not difficult to do) and turn their truck into a business expense and deduct it.

This is not a man interested in solving problems.  He’s a religious zealot conducting a jihad against trucks.

Trapped in a box with violence

These people were trapped in a metal box with a crazy person with a knife.

There is no way to flee a moving train.

Yes, in the end they mustered enough courage to take this guy down, but going hand to hand with a guy with a knife is dangerous.

Situational awareness and concealed carry are key.

Oregon is a shall issue state, and as far as I can tell from the internet, it’s legal to carry on public transportation (correct me in the comments if I’m wrong).

Carry and be prepared to defend yourself.

We also need effective government to enforce Bruen in other states.

You can’t flee when you’re locked in a moving box.  People need the ability to defend themselves.

The only one professional enough…

Some cops are cowards.

Some are incompetent.

When you fine one that’s both, you know it’s going to end badly.

Arkansas deputy shoots at Pomeranian but hits woman standing on porch instead

A lawsuit has been filed against a Columbia County deputy, the sheriff, and the sheriff’s office after the deputy shoots at a dog, but strikes a woman standing on her front porch instead.

Tina Hight, the woman who was shot in August 2022, still has the bullet lodged in her shin. She’s now not only dealing with anxiety but also continuous doctor’s appointments.

She initially called 911 for help, but instead was shot on her own front porch she told Seven On Your Side.

In the video, Columbia County Deputy Brian Williams is heard shouting at the dog: “Get back, get your dog, I’ll kill this ************. Get your God**** dog.”

Williams then fires a warning shot, but that quickly escalates.

Tre Kitchens, Hight’s attorney, called the deputy’s actions beyond negligent.

The lawsuit also names Columbia County Sheriff Mike Loe.

“We’re also alleging that the sheriff of Columbia County clearly did not train him, did not educate him, and if that kind of behavior is appropriate in Columbia County there’s a bigger issue with that department in general,” Kitchens said.

Here’s the video:

Those weren’t pitbulls and they weren’t charging the officer.  The dogs stayed on the porch and he shot at them anyway.

Notice how his partner was also on the porch and in the line of fire.  He could have shot another deputy but hit a civilian instead.

I agree that this officer should never work as a cop again, and I suspect that a lot of his fellow officers feel the same way.

Nobody want to be downrange of a cowardly, trigger happy moron.

California loves criminals and hates crime victims

This is a follow-up to my post Store owners are going to become more violent.

In it, I posted this video of two store workers giving a shoplifter a much needed ass whooping.

Literally caning his ass.

Well, this took place in California, where shoplifters are a protected class.

Stockton police investigating 7-Eleven workers in viral beatdown

Stockton police said they are investigating the assault of a 7-Eleven robbery suspect by two workers and say the suspected thief is believed to have robbed the store two other times within the same 24-hour period.

Video of the July 29 assault has gained national attention. In the more than five-minute clip, a man can be seen emptying shelves of cigarettes and other products from the store’s shelves before the clerks step in to stop him. The clip shows one of the clerks pinning the man down while another beats the would-be thief with what appears to be a pole.

Stockton police said in an update Saturday that they were aware of two other reports of early morning robberies at the 7-Eleven location involving the same suspected thief, one on July 28 and another on July 29.

Police said that on July 28 at 3:41 a.m., a 7-Eleven worker reported the suspect going behind the counter and threatening to shoot the clerk if he intervened. The suspect then took several packs of cigarettes in a large garbage bag before fleeing.

On July 29 at 12:27 a.m., a 7-Eleven worker reported the suspect demanding money at the store while simulating that he had a handgun. When the worker didn’t comply, the suspect grabbed food items and put them in a garbage bag before leaving, police said.

At some point later in the morning, the man is believed to have returned to the store, police said. That’s when the beating captured in the viral video took place.

They said that after their investigation concludes, they will forward the findings to the San Joaquin County district attorney for review.

Let’s recap.

This criminal had robbed that particular 7-Eleven twice before, both times claiming to have a gun and threatening workers.

The police did nothing.

The criminal returned again, and the workers decided they had had enough and have the criminal some stick time.

Now the police are investigating them and will see to their prosecution.

Working people are not the concern of the California government.  Criminals are a protected class and the people who stand up to them will be punished.

I fundamentally do not understand what the endgame here is, because this will eventually drive every business out of California.

It’s malicious and being done for a reason, I just can’t tell what that reason is.

A weighted sock is why Bruen needs to be enforced

Mugger holding UPS package beats woman with weighted sock, robs her of $25 in NYC building: cops

A mugger pictured in surveillance footage holding a UPS package beat a woman with a weighted sock and robbed her of $25 inside the elevator of a Manhattan building over the weekend, police said Sunday.

The 26-year-old victim was getting off the lift in the building at East 27th Street and Third Avenue in Kips Bay at around noon on Saturday when the creep pulled her back in and beat her “multiple times” in the back of the head with what cops described as “a sock filled with an unknown object.”

He then grabbed the small amount of cash from her bag and fled on a bike, according to police.

Surveillance images released by the NYPD showed him wearing a black outfit and grey cap with lanyard around his neck while toting a UPS package and luggage.

Several lessons here.

UPS drivers wear a very specific brown uniform.  Situational awareness should alert you to something that isn’t right.  We see this fake delivery man tactic used by thieves.  Their fake uniforms are generally very bad.  Paying attention to what the person is wearing and if it looks real is a big tip.

That said, one of tye reasons I have a burning hatred for NYC is a culture of noticing nothing.  New Yorkers are so saturated with insane shit that they turn off situational awareness.  Don’t ever do that.

In addition, a weighted sock is nothing to ignore.  It is a potentially lethal weapon.

People need the ability to defend themselves, and these Blue shithole cities make that virtually impossible.

Bruen needs to be enforced so good people are not outmatched by a guy with a rock in a sock.

And if you can help it, stay the fuck out of NYC.

Social Media riot in NYC

Monetized social media was a mistake.

Social media is the great equalizer, anyone willing to put themselves out there can make huge sums of money if they try.  That means that some people, in the pursuit of money, will do anything to built a following.

We’ve covered YouTube pranksters who have nearly eaten bullets for likes.

Today, a streamer kicked off a riot in NYC.

Yes, a riot.

The UK Daily Mail gives us more information.

YouTuber Kai Cenat is CHARGED with inciting a riot by NYPD for PS5 giveaway which erupted in violence at Union Square, as 65 rioters arrested amid chaos

YouTube and Twitch personality Kai Cenat is in police custody after a riot broke out in New York City’s Union Square during an unlicensed scheduled giveaway of Playstation 5s.

Shocking photos and videos show thousands of people gathered, with some fighting and others throwing fire extinguishers at each other in downtown Manhattan.

At least 12 people have been injured, police told DailyMail.com. Multiple NYPD officers were on the scene trying to disperse the crowd as of 5pm.

The NYPD has warned of mass transit disruptions and traffic delays, they estimated about 2,000 people showed up for the giveaway and Mayor Eric Adams condemned the violence, warning his own son to stay clear.

Cenat, who is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch and has 5.5 million followers on Instagram, had announced a giveaway on the platform with fellow streamer Fanum scheduled for 4pm.

So a wealthy and popular influencer stages a giveaway which turns into a riot.

I hate everything about this story.

Influencers causing chaos.

Greedy people rioting for free shit.

Inept police unable to maintain law and order.

After society collapse and we plunge into the new dark ages, when the second Renaissance happens, we need to make sure monetized social media remains in the ash heap of history.
