There is an old adage: never get high on your own supply.

Eric Idle has broken that rule.

What is funny about the “burn the witch” scene from Monty Python’s Holy Grail and the stoning scene from Life of Brian is how over the top ridiculous it is.  Some poor sod was going to get burned alive or stoned to death because of an angry mob of idiots or hysterical housewives.

Yes, that is British funnyman Eric Idle advocating genocide based on political ideology.

He is secure enough in his belief that he is right and everybody that disagrees with him is so wrong they should pay for it with their lives.  This is both sad and horrifying, but this is what the far Left has become.  Heretics are to be killed.

There is no room for discussion on this.  The idea that anybody who isn’t a true believer in anthropocentric climate change must die is the Green equivalent to ISIS.

I never though that what would get me send to the gas chambers was thinking is it not the best use of $2.2 billion taxpayer dollars to fund unsustainable, unfeasible, and ultimately failed green energy projects owned and managed by major political donors.

But really that is irrelevant.  The reason a totalitarian wants to exterminate you is capricious.  They want to exterminate you and will find whatever justification makes it, in their minds, OK to do so.

Advocating mass murder for political disagreements is not funny.  I’m getting really tired of the Left making genocide their go to final solution for winning political arguments.

CNN tweeted one of the dumbest headlines of the year, so far.

They were mocked on Twitter because, of course, statues don’t move in the snow.

I couldn’t care less about that.

I’m concerned about the wording of “stands her ground against the Wall Street bull.”

She is standing up against the bull?  The Wall Street Charging Bull being “the symbol of aggressive financial optimism and prosperity,” as a reference to a Bull Market.

So this girl is standing defiant against a strong, positive financial outlook.  Do I have that right?

The statue was put up by State Street Global Advisors to promote more women in Wall Street and on corporate boards.  You’d think that a multi-trillion dollar investment firm would be in favor of a bull market.

Nope.

Feminist virtue signaling is ad odds with good economics.  Just ask the New York Daily News: “You go, Fearless Girl staring down the big, bad bull.”

The big, bad bull?  What?  The big, bad good market in which people are making money and have a positive outlook on the economy?

WTF?

Of course, other feminists have gotten in on the action putting pussy hats and Moms Demand Action hats on the statue and taking pictures.

Not a single one asking why the Fearless Girl is opposed to the Bull.

The lesson that I learned here is that it seems like Liberal Feminists don’t know the difference between a bull market and a bear market, they don’t really care how the economy performs, they just want to make big show of girl power strength, regardless of the consequences; and if that is the case, that’s the perfect reason to keep feminists off of Wall Street and out of the board rooms.  The last thing this country needs is a bunch of Social Justice Activists standing on top of the burning wreckage of the American economy, cheering “pussy power.”

Moms Demand Action posted two articles about Stand Your Ground in Florida.  In typical unable-to-get-anything-about-guns-right MDA fashion, the two articles were in near direct contradiction to each other, and one of the articles is in contradiction to established MDA dogma.

First up, we have MDA commenting on this article from the New York Times.

Republican legislators in Florida are planning to compound the deadly mischief of the state’s Stand Your Ground law by allowing accused killers even greater leeway to claim self-defense and immunity from prosecution in violent confrontations.

Dear God, no!  How much more leeway are “accused killers” going to get?

Under current law, homicide defendants must prove at a pretrial hearing that they “reasonably believed” they were threatened with grave bodily harm, and therefore are entitled to make a claim of self-defense at trial. But a bill moving through the Republican-controlled Legislature would turn the hearing process on its head, by shifting the burden to prosecutors to prove “beyond a reasonable doubt” that a defendant’s claim to self-defense was not valid. 

Oh.  So Florida is going to apply the legal standard that is at the core of American jurisprudence, placing the burden of proof in a criminal trial on the prosecution.  That doesn’t actually sound so bad.

Of course, MDA isn’t going to stand for this.  They don’t care about civil liberties or the rights of the accused  when it comes to gun laws.

A few clicks of the scroll wheel down the page and MDA posted about this article from CNN on a movie theater shooting in Tampa.

Seems that a judge tossed the defendants defense of Stand Your Ground.  I find this odd as MDA has told me countless times that a claim of SYG cannot be questioned and is a get-out-of-jail-free card.

“Because the defendant’s testimony was significantly at odds with the physical evidence and other witness testimony, this court has considerable doubts about his credibility, and is not willing to come to the conclusion that these circumstances are those envisioned by the Legislature when the ‘stand your ground’ law was enacted,” Barthle ruled.

Turns out that the shooter LIED about the incident.  Wittiness and evidence contradict his statement to the police.  As it turns out, the shooter was in a lot less danger than he claimed to be in at the time off the shooting.

Oulson threw a bag of popcorn at Reeves, according to a criminal complaint, and Reeves then took out his handgun and fired at Oulson, killing him.

As cholesterol laden as movie theater popcorn soaked in artificial-butter-flavored-grease may be, it is not cause for an immediate threat of death or grave bodily harm.

The proposed Florida law, if it passes, would not change the facts of the case.  It would only mean that the jury has to decide on the SYG claim rather than the judge toss it at pre-trial.  This is EXACTLY the type of evidence that would be presented to a jury during a criminal trial.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury.  I love the movie The Untouchables.  One of my favorite quotes from that movie is “They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.”  Somehow it is less memorable as “They pull a bag of Orville Redenbacher, you pull a gun. He sends stains one of your shirts, you send him to the morgue.”  Because that is what happened in this case.  I think even Al Capone would let this one slide with just a warning.

Here’s the kicker too.  Reeves, the shooter, was a RETIRED TAMPA POLICE CAPTAIN.  Yep.  Those cops who are the only people professional enough for MDA to be allowed to carry a gun in public.  One of them had a bad shoot and lied about it.

A cop lying at trial?  This is my shocked face.

Between these two posts what I learned is that a CCWer who was a member of the elite, endowed by government authority with the superior nature to carry a gun in public, shot someone in an argument unjustifiably.  He claimed SYG, and the prosecutor reviewed the evidence and decided there was enough to show that he was lying and SYG was not a reasonable defense and had the judge toss SYG.  But if Florida makes it a requirement for prosecutors to do just that to a jury, Florida will become a murder free for all?

It’s like these people don’t even read the things they post.  They sure as hell don’t understand what they are talking about.

The ACLU has started a movement called People Power to encourage people to “Join the Resistance” against Trump.  They have rebranded Sanctuary Cities  as  “Freedom Cities,” probably due to the news that most people are not supportive of Sanctuary Cities.  But the “Freedom Cities” initiative also includes refugee advocacy.

What these Liberals leave off is telling.  The poem they quote, from the base of the Statue of Liberty and written by the Jewish poet Emma Lazarus, is called The New Colossus.

It is the second stanza that gets the most attention, and it goes:

“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Let’s take a look again:

Again:

“yearning to breathe free”

One more time, see if you can catch it:

“YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE”

Notice how Liberal after Liberal leaves off the part about “yearning to breathe free?”

That is the point of the American experiment.  People from all over the world coming here to be part of America.  To cast off the provincial infighting of the Old World and unite under a common belief in the the Constitution, an American identity, and the Flag of the United States.

That idea of American unity and a common belief in freedom is downright toxic to Liberals.  This is how you get the student government of UC Irvine to ban the American Flag from the school lobby because:

[T]he American flag has been flown in times of“colonialism and imperialism” and could symbolize American “exceptionalism and superiority.” The resolution says “freedom of speech, in a space that aims to be as inclusive as possible, can be interpreted as hate speech.”

Or a high school in Iowa condemn its students for wearing “patriotic” American Flag theme clothes to a basketball game, because the American Flag is “offensive” to students  to minority students or refugees.

There is another reason Liberals leave off the part about “yearning to breathe free?”  The reality of the situation is quite different.

For many illegal immigrants it is “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses, drug and human traffickers, yearning for welfare benefits, access to taxpayer funded public services, and free healthcare”  

For many Middle Eastern refugees, it is “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to establish Shaira law ‘no-go zones,’ Welfare, and attack Jews.”

Some Muslim clerics say Muslims are entitled to welfare because it is a form of Jizya which is why terrorists and ISIS are being funded by the European welfare state.

The idea of “yearning to breath free” is diametrically opposed to contraband smuggling, living off the welfare state, imposing Sharia, terrorism, and gang crime.  By leaving off the “yearning to breathe free” Liberals use a linguistic slight of hand to make people overlook that in favor of the “give me your huddled masses” part.

We have no duty to accept those into this nation that want to harm this nation.

The Left is deliberately misquoting The New Colossus to obfuscate that fact.

I grew up in Miami, one of the most diverse cities in the country.  The city is so steeped in Caribbean Hispanic culture, that it is in the very air that you breathe.  It is how you end up with a someone like me, a Jew of German and Russian heritage that thinks nothing of sitting down for lunch with a Reuben sandwich and a side of Congri and Yuca Frita.  To this day, i’m about a likely to have “ay dios mio” roll of my tongue as “oy vey.”

So believe me when I say, I don’t consider myself racist against Hispanic people.  I’m pretty sure I count as one – at least partially – by way of osmosis.

I like life this way, it makes everything more interesting.  Also the food is better (next time you have a Cubano or Media Noche, skip the yellow mustard and try it with some hot German mustard, it really kicks it up a notch).

There are some people who don’t see it this way.  They want to harden the battle lines.  The problem is, that is going to push me into being a white supremacists, which I don’t want to be.

A Latina/o/x student at Pitzer College sent out this email:

This is not the first time in the last week that a Latina/o/x student from Pitzer has made the news for going all SJW victim at white people.  Another student sent out an all campus email telling white girls not to wear hoop earnings because of cultural appropriation.

I’m not a liberal.  I don’t accept guilt for what was done by people I never met, who died generations before me, who I have no relationship to, because I have the same color skin that they do.  That shit just bounces off me.

I believe in Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:20, the sins of the father shall not be visited unto the son.  Especially when the sins were not committed by my actual father.

For the most part, I really couldn’t care less about what some students in the Land of Fruits and Nuts do to their liberal classmates, but soon enough these students are going to enter the real world.

I caught this article in The New Republic: BLUEXIT, A MODEST PROPOSAL FOR SEPARATING BLUE STATES FROM RED.

It starts exactly like this:

All of which, it turns out, only left you more bitter, white, and alt-right than ever.

Can’t you just feel the contempt flowing off the screen?

In the Hindu tradition, there is a caste system called the Varna.  Up at the top are the Brahmin, the priestly class, and at the bottom are the Shudras, the labor class.  The Brahmin believe they were placed at the top by the God Brahma himself, and everybody else is stacked below.  In the Hindu tradition, the Brahmins are represented by the head, and the Shudras are represented by the feet.

When I read “Dear Red-State Trump Voter, Let’s face it, guys: We’re done,” I am inclined to agree.  

Mr. Baker explains that we are done because the Blue States are tired of carrying the dead weight of the idiot Red States.

Some folks here in self-supporting America like to believe that there must be a way to bring you back to your senses and to restore rational government, if not liberal ideals, sometime in the foreseeable future.

In the past, he has explained that the “Smug Liberal” is a myth.  They are not out of touch people who live in bubbles, it is that everyone else who is not a liberal is the problem.

There is something more pernicious going on here, part of the longer right-wing project to label anyone in the opposition as somehow deracinated, unnatural, unconnected to “the homeland.”

Why are we done?  Is it Red State vs. Blue State?  Is it Rural vs. Urban?

No.

It is Head People vs. Feet People.  Self appointed Brahmin vs. those they identify as Shudras.

Despite his supposed working class background, Mr. Baker is a member of the Head People.  He is a low budget version of Michael Moore.

Like the Brahmin of the Varna, the Liberal Elite feel it is their duty to direct the culture.  They create the moral code for society that we Feet People must follow.  They are wiser and know better, because they went to a handful of the right colleges, were taught the right thoughts to have, work in the right careers, and are therefore blessed – the the American sense with fortune and sometimes fame.

The rest of us are Shudras.  We are feet people.  We didn’t go to the right schools and learn the right thoughts.  We don’t peddle influence or bullshit, or fondle money for a living.  We labor.  We grow the food, mine the coal, refine the petroleum, make the goods, pave the roads, and keep the lights on.  We are Feet People.

The Head People believe that they have every right to micromanage the lives of the Feet People.  Why not?  If we knew what was best, wouldn’t we be rich and famous like them?  Our middle class or working class incomes is proof positive that we need them to guide us and tell us how to live.

This is why the Left has come unglued and gone totally batshit since November.  We Feet People were supposed to vote for the Queen of the Head People.  We were supposed to want to be ruled over and managed and be told how to live our lives.

We rejected that.  We told the self-appointed gods to get fucked.

They just can’t understand why we voted against their iron-fisted, boot-to-the-face beneficence.  We must be bigoted, horrible, racist, misogynistic monsters not to know our own place in the world.

But if you actually came down and asked the Feet People what we want, 90% of the answer is quite simple.

WE.  WANT.  TO.  BE.  LEFT.  THE.  FUCK.  ALONE.

As Douglas Adams said about god “and without faith I am nothing.”  The election of Trump showed the Head People that the Feet People have no faith in them as priests anymore.  This is exactly the same reason why the Oscars had such abysmal ratings.  The Feet People didn’t tune in to listen to the Head People’s sermon on a Liberal high holy day.

The Head People are screaming and yelling and trying to shame the Feet People into revering them again.  They are not coming to terms with the discovery that the gospel they preach is becoming more and more irrelevant to the Feet People.

So what is the other 10% of the answer?  Do what we think the job of government should be: take care of our people.

When the Feet People send our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters off to war, when they come back and we see them waiting in line and dying at the VA but illegal immigrants getting a substantial portion of welfare and instate or free tuition it pisses us off.  When we see our bridges falling down and potholes in our highways and green energy companies owned by Head People get billions of dollars to go bankrupt, it pisses us off.  When we are told we are bigots because we have some concern about a  high school boy who wants to expose his twig and berries in a girls locker room, it pisses us off.  All of this reminds us that the Head People look down on us Feet People and don’t understand us, and don’t want to, and want to force their beliefs on us.

So what does Mr. Baker want to do about not being listened to by the Feet People anymore?

In short, we’ll take our arrogant, cosmopolitan, liberal-elite football—wait, make that soccer ball—and go home.

What an insufferable prick. What benefit is it to him?

For starters, we now endorse cutting the federal income tax to the bone—maybe even doing the full Wesley Snipes and abolishing it altogether. We will raise our state and local taxes accordingly to pay for anything we might need or want. We ask nothing more from you and your federal government. Nothing for infrastructure, or housing, or the care of the poor and sick—not that you gave us much, anyway. All we want is our money, and you can keep yours, dollar for dollar.

Expect reality is not on his side.  Take California.  It is hemorrhaging manufacturing jobs, Nestle and Toyota have pulled out.  The “land of startups” is the worst in the country for small business entrepreneurs.  California Head People welcome big, Liberal, dotcom Head People startups with their investment money.  If you are a middle class or blue collar worker, the Head People don’t want you there.  God forbid you toil in the dirt and grow anything other than Head People wine, they will destroy you for a fish.

Mr. Baker wants to live in Head People land, surrounded by only other Head People, who do Head People jobs.  Too bad for him, it is the Feet People that keep the lights on.

With all the extra money we’ll have, we can set up our own Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid systems once Paul Ryan manages to “privatize” them for you Trump Staters. And what city is all that privatized money likely to come to, on its way to the markets? Oh, right, New York, which you hate so much! All those extra Wall Street bonuses and dividends will really help the local economy.

Wall Street dividends paid for by the labor of Feet People.  This fucker doesn’t even understand that without Feet People making things, companies have no value.  He is so disconnected from reality that he seems to believe that companies just sort of make money.

Mr. Baker wants to push Head People land even further left, because they think that is the remedy.  It will destroy them.  I can do my job for the rest of my life without seeing another new movie.  It won’t affect me.  How will Hollywood Head People fare if Feet People just stop watching movies?

The Brahmin of the Varna live off the labor of the Shudras.  The priests do no labor.  The Head People need the Feet People to survive.  The Feet People will do perfectly fine without the sermons of the Head People.

Here is where America and Hinduism separate.  America was not founded on a caste system.  So much of what is happening in America today is a rejection of the de facto caste system that has been created.  The Feet People are tired of being seen as Feet People, to be subordinate to the whims of the elite.

The Feet People voted for Trump as an exercise against the elite.  The more push back against that  by the elite, the more they harden the resolve of the Feet People.

The only smart thing Mr. Baker said was:

We won’t formally secede, in the Civil War sense of the word. We’ll still be a part of the United States, at least on paper.

We own the guns.  We are the military, at least the non-flag officer ranks of it.  Keep beating us and tormenting us and shaming us and we will start to itch for the Civil War you want to avoid.

Remember this Mr. Baker, the Kings of France thought that they too were ordained to rule by god.  That didn’t work out so well for Louis the XVI.

For a while now, Moms Demand Action has been pushing the idea of closing the “Boyfriend Loophole.”  The way MDA sells this loophole is that it is the Wonka Ticket for domestic abuser, where they can beat a girlfriend they don’t live or share a child with, absolutely consequence free.  They have also gone after gunsplainers, men who argue that women should have the right to defend themselves, as condescending and sexist.

This latest bit from MDA just takes the wedding cake.

Boyfriends and Husbands are the deadliest thing women have to deal with on a daily basis.

If we go back to their post from Valentine’s Day:

Yep, you read that right.  On a day when boyfriends and husbands are expected to go above and beyond for romance, MDA reminds women that boyfriends and husbands are out to kill you.

At first I was offended by this.  I love my wife, I would never hurt her, but since I am a gun owning husband, the MDA wants to sell my wife on the idea that she’s got just shy of a 50/50 chance of me shooting her.

I think I’ve changed my mind.  MDA is starting to go off the Social Justice/Third Wave Feminist deep end.  They are dipping their toes into the water of “marriage is a sexist institution.”  One of the hallmarks of SJW/Third Wave Feminism is the hatred of husbands.  This brand of feminism makes sure that women are never happy with their domestic lives.

In 1992, Pat Robertson said “The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.”  Liberals spend the next 20 years beating Conservatives over the head with that statement.  Then SJW/Third Wave Feminism came along and said “hold my beer.”

These are the people that tell girls not to read books written by men, because they might be infected with crimethink.

The good news is, more and more young people are starting to see the crazy for the trees, and are not identifying as feminists.  Even though most people believe in equality of the sexes, 82% don’t call themselves feminists.  The label has become “toxic.”  The pussyhats, vagina costumes, the demand for government funded feminine hygiene products everywhere, has driven rational women out of feminism.

Moms Demand Action couldn’t be doing us more of a favor than going down the crazy feminist rabbit hole.  Just try and convince a bunch of young girls who want to find love that every man they meet and want to settle down with is going to murder them because that’s what men do.  See how well that message goes over with the masses.  Not to mention what is says to the majority of women who are not in abusive relationships.

“Men are terrible so we should have gun control” is not the most winningest of messages.

They should keep rolling with that.  Offend men, offend women, try and make wives distrustful of their husbands… I’m sure that will swell their ranks.
