1-800-GIFTS4GUNS or how do you get a gun permit in NYC.

You say the words “National Reciprocity” in front of selected and elected New York City official, you would get an earful why that is a bad idea.

“New York City’s well-recognized success in the continued decrease in shootings and murder is in no small part a result of effective control of guns on our streets,” NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill said.
“Any measures that would contribute to the increase of firearms in New York could only jeopardize the level of safety that New Yorkers have benefited from through effective gun control. This proposed bill creates a real risk to public safety.”

NYC bigs blast Republican gun bill

They will tell you it is the tool of terrorists:

Also this week, New York County District Attorney Cy Vance warned lawmakers who are backing national reciprocity that they are playing into the hands of the Islamic State militant group in Iraq and Syria. “This bill is supported, I am sure, by ISIS,”

And, of course, it is that them Fly Over Redneck states do not set the same criteria as New York:

Jimmy Olsen, a 5-year veteran with the NYPD, has his doubts about the bill. “I think that this will be a tough sell, especially for the amount of safety precautious we (NYPD) take,” said Olsen. “The gun laws in New York are strict, but with all the violence in the world, I wouldn’t want to see someone from like Texas come here with the amount of arsenal and go crazy…
…“What’s right for one state is not right for all,” said Attorney General Schneiderman in a statement. “This lowest-common-denominator approach would undermine states’ basic responsibility to protect our communities – including by determining who may carry a concealed, loaded gun within our borders”

And pry tell us what are those “safety precautions” that NYPD used to make sure only those worthy of a permit fulfilled?

John Chambers, a self-described gun lawyer to the stars, stands accused of bribing David Villanueva, an ex-supervisor in the NYPD’s gun licensing division, for hard-to-obtain gun permits — including for a client who was being investigated for domestic abuse, according to prosecutors.

The government’s key witness, Villanueva, who is cooperating with the feds, will tell the jury that Chambers gave him tickets to Broadway shows and baseball games, an $8,000 Paul Picot watch and cash hidden in magazines.
In exchange, Villanueva will say he helped Chambers get gun licenses with the NYPD and with the Nassau County Police Department.

Ex-prosecutor to go on trial for alleged gun bribery scheme

And other stringent “safety precautions” included in the process to obtain a NYC gun permit were:

Frank Soohoo, who pleaded guilty in 2016, plied Villanueva and Ochetel with trips to the Bahamas, Mexico and Hawaii, the ex-police sergeant said. Soohoo also threw lavish parties at his Queens gun store for the officers and occasionally hired hookers to attend, Villanueva said.
In exchange, Soohoo got help getting permits, including advice on how to help a client who was “federally barred” from legally owning a gun, Villanueva said.
Chambers provided Villanueva with dinners, tickets to Broadway shows, clothes, watches and baseball memorabilia, the ex-sergeant said, including autographed photos of Alex Rodriguez and Mickey Mantle and a signed Willie Randolph baseball.

Ex-cop: NYPD gun license division was a bribery machine
That is what May Issue looks like. That is the corruption it breeds. The politicians fill their mouths with pretty words assuring their way is the best way and they are right: It is the best way for them as gun permits are but gifts to be issued in exchange of favors may it be monetary or political. But hey, they are better that us, right?

Maybe they are right after all. Maybe we should continue having agreements between states rather than have some NYC “better” who obtained his gun permit via hookers and cash, to walk the streets of Miami endangering the lives of my fellow citizens.

Play Stupid Games: The AR 15 version.

GLEN ST. MARY, Fla – Three men say they were asleep inside a mobile home in Glen St. Mary about 4 a.m. Sunday when they heard a voice outside yell “Sheriff’s Office!” before the front door burst open.
In stormed a masked gunman who fired off a single round before two of the men inside, one armed with an AR-15 rifle and the other with a handgun, emerged from two bedrooms and opened fire.
Gunfire ripped into the masked gunman and two other intruders, who crumpled to the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
Those details surfaced Tuesday when the Baker County Sheriff’s Office released an arrest report linked to this weekend’s home invasion turned deadly triple shooting.
Five people are charged in the case. Investigators suspect the home invasion escalated from an ongoing feud between two groups that was stoked by social media threats.
The victims told deputies they acted in self-defense when they turned their guns on the intruders, with one of them estimating he fired over 30 rounds from an AR-15 before the threat was over.

Deputies: 30 rounds fired from AR-15 in deadly Florida home invasion

It was a grand total of 7 individuals with the element of surprise on their side. The Evil Black Rifle did not even the odds but moved them squarely in favor of the almost victims.

The imagery of this excerpt from the article is just perfect:

Investigators found a heavy amount of dried blood caked on the front steps of the home, a bloodstained mask with a bullet hole through it

It has been said that headshots are very honest.

Venezuelan Gov “dismantles” alleged terrorist cell. Shows Evidence. Hilarity Ensues.

This is your laugh for the day. Then again since there is no gun culture in Venezuela, they can get away with shit like this. I think I see a couple of the infamous and invisible to detection Glock 7 made famous in Die Hard 2.

I want to say that is a pellet gun, but not sure.

I had forgotten about the Ninja knives, also undetectable. And one of the bats that were going to be used in the school in Pennsylvania apparently was smuggled to kill President Maduro.

And let us not forget the obligatory stash of Molotov Cocktails. I have no idea what’s in the plastic bottles.

This is just happening. If any more pics worth publishing, I’ll update the post.

Unintended Consequences soon to be reprinted and in Kindle.
