Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Death sells or why we don’t care about the Media.

Saw this last night:

The eggs went to restaurants and stores, including Walmart and Food Lion, in Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, Colorado and West Virginia.
Waffle House was one of the restaurant chains that purchased the eggs.
In grocery stores, the eggs were sold under brands that include:
Country Daybreak
Crystal Farms
Coburn Farms
Sunshine Farms
Glenview
Great Value (Walmart’s store brand)
Food Lion’s store brand

ZOMG! We are all gonna die!.. not quite.  only 22 people affected out of 206 million eggs comes about one in 9,363,000 or about ten times less than getting hit by lightning. You will get the shitters faster by eating your regular fare at Taco Bell.

But if you pause for a second and think “how the fuck 200 million eggs got contaminated with Salmonella” just don’t worry, you are simply not getting the full info. From USA Today (I know, amazing):

The egg recall is the largest in the United States since 2010, according to Food Safety News.
The recall involves eggs with the plant number P-105, with the Julian date range of 011 through 012 printed on either side of the carton or package.

200 million eggs recalled over salmonella fears

So instead of throwing away any and all eggs from your fridge, you simply check the boxes and see if they corresponds with the recall. If they don’t, go ahead and get yourself some scrambled eggs.

Oh, and a small reminder: Chickens in the US are not treated with antibiotics, remember? They are making sure you know in the commercials because apparently is a selling point. so you are eating potential salmonella grenades every time you go sunny side up. Check your local/state health department for the cooking temperature of eggs and just enjoy the suckers.

Dear Fudd: yes, they will come for your guns. The Australian Example

Above one of Brisbane’s busiest commuter intersections, a billboard advertises the Victrix bolt-action rifle.
Although the same Victrix bolt-action rifle is marketed in the US as suitable for uses including “military” and “law enforcement”, in Australia the Victrix (and similar weapons) are categorised with firearms licensed for hunting and sport.
Gun control advocates have dubbed the Victrix guns “high-powered and military-style”. They warn that an increasing range of these guns – which still have design specifications that allow them to be classified as sporting and hunting firearms – have hit the Australian market.
Gun Control Australia has called for a rewrite of weapons classifications, which the group says are outdated and do not properly codify modern hi-tech guns.

Guns advertised on Brisbane billboard sold as ‘military’ use in US

Bolt action rifles are well over a century-old technology. The only thing that has changed has been the materials used as they have improved and made lighter: Better steel, better workmanship for a smother works, synthetics for the stock, etc.

Your “grandpa deer rifle” is now about to be considered a military weapon in Australia and bound for confiscation.

You have been warned, repeatedly.

Sadly, This Explains So Much.

It explains why the flavor of the month is a kid throwing Nazi-like salutes.
It explains why his companion’s fashion statement is to look like she is about to hit the showers at Auschwitz.
It explains why they want to send us to camps.
It explains why they using sacred words like “Never Again” as a cheap Twitter hashtag.
It explains why they want us dead.

Because the truth would not have resulted in a win.

AMSTERDAM (AP) — A spine-tingling photo of a young man on fire during clashes in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas during the protest against President Nicolas Maduro has won the World Press Photo of the Year.
The photo by Agence France-Presse journalist Ronaldo Schemidt won both the overall honors and the category for Spot News Single on Thursday in Amsterdam. Jury chair Magdalena Herrera called it “a classical photo” that gave her “an instantaneous emotion.”
The photo shows a man who was in flames after a gas tank on his motorcycle exploded. He escaped with second-degree burns. Schemidt is a photographer for AFP based in Mexico.

Photo of Venezuela unrest wins World Press Photo contest.

This who ride motorcycles are probably scratching their heads trying to figure out how come the young man wearing a helmet and a gas mask managed to catch fire on his back if the gas tank exploded in front of him.

The truth is that the fire comes from a Molotov Cocktail that he was trying to throw and came apart on him as he was about to launch it. I remember seeing it as it was being streamed live when it happened.

Never forget, journalists are not known for their honesty.

More Than 20 Russian-Linked Contributors gave the NRA a grand total of $2,500. (nope, no missing zeroes)

The National Rifle Association has accepted contributions from about 23 Russians, or Americans living in Russia, since 2015, the gun rights group acknowledged to Congress.
The NRA said in a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., unveiled on Wednesday, that the sum it received from those people was just over $2,500 and most of that was “routine payments” for membership dues or magazine subscriptions.
About $525 of that figure was from “two individuals who made contributions to the NRA.”
Wyden has been querying the NRA about its Russia connections following press reports that suggest the FBI is investigating whether Russians might have tried to use the NRA or other political organizations as part of their attack on the 2016 election.

NRA, In New Document, Acknowledges More Than 20 Russian-Linked Contributors

Dear God! the NRA colluded with the Russians to hack the elections at the tune of twenty-five hundred bucks!

And leave it to NPR to be accurate but not tell the truth and leave the accusation against the NRA still floating.

And no, it is not strange for foreigners to be NRA members, you are looking at one. I have been an NRA member on and off since 1986 I think, long before I even moved to the US after becoming a resident and then a citizen.
