Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

How much did Gun Control in Florida cost?

$400 million for mental health and school safety programs,
$98 million to make schools more physically secured
$87 million to establish a Safe Schools program
$69 million for mental health assistance
$25 million to replace the classroom building where the massacre occurred
$18.3 million for mobile crisis teams
$500,000 for mental health first aid training

Total: $697,800,000

Where is that money going? Or better yet. Who is gonna pocket the Taxpayer’s money under the excuse of safety?

We are not going to have a School Marshal program, we are already hearing from School Boards all over the state that they won’t allow implementation, it does not matter if they have Seal Team Six as custodians in the school. These are School Boards like in Broward that purposely ignored Nick Cruz antics and led to him shooting a school under the same School Board control.

To put it simply: The Broward county School Board who ignored and hid the obvious signs of danger of Nikolas Cruz, will now be rewarded with a shitload of taxpayer’s money and they will block the most effective means to stop the next killer.

How does that make you feel?

My recommendation to Broward County Parents: Home Schooling.

Florida SB 7026 House Vote: YEAS 67, NAYS 50

This is not only  a dumb “Must Do Something For The Children” bill, but they manage to bamboozled the GOP into voting for Gun Control.

And it is celebration time for the opposition.

And, of course, there is close to three-quarters of a billion dollars of pork to dole out. You did not see that one coming, did ya?

But it is the NRA the one buying politicians.

Next January, Florida’s color will become blue.

Start buying your stuff now because they will come at us with all they have. CWP and SYG included. We will be the New Jersey of the South.

House vote on Gun Package in doubt

Last month, survivors of the attack led thousands of protesters in a march on the Capitol demanding a ban on assault weapons and universal background checks for all gun purchases.
Both items, however, are not included in the legislation being discussed and may make the bill unpalatable to Democrats, some of whom are calling for a special session to deal with the issue.
On the other side, some Republicans may turn down the measure because of its three-day waiting period and the minimum age for gun purchases, additions which are opposed by Second Amendment advocates.
Together, those opponents on opposite ends of the spectrum could doom the bill.

Parkland parents urge lawmakers to support compromise gun bill

This would be the perfect ending to this misguided tale of legislation. I am not holding my breath for this one just yet as they are still babbling away in the floor of the House.

Now, there is a budget bill coming and believe me that one is VERY important to both the House and the Senate. So eventually SB 7026 will have to be either voted on or set aside before time runs out Friday. As much as politician wants our guns, they want money even more. I don’t think they will go through the budget in 10 minutes and come back to this bill.

My guess would be later today we have the House voting for this bill and, if approved,  gets returned to the Senate for final masturb… work and to be sent to the Governor.

Systemic Failure of Law Enforcement -Active Response Training.

Stealing again from Greg Ellifritz who has Ron Borsch as a guest writer.

We should sent this paragraph alone to the people in the Florida Legislature

Only half of Rapid Mass Murder© incidents are ever stopped by anyone, meaning in that half, the murdering stops only when the murderer says it stops, as in this Florida example. In the half that is stopped by someone, it is on-site citizens that are the majority factor by a two-thirds majority. The remaining minority third is stopped by OFF-SITE police. What police responses work best should be well known by professional police officers. For the last several years, we have freely and widely shared the results of our Stopwatch of Death© database of Rapid Mass Murder© going back to 1975.

Systemic Failure of Law Enforcement.

You will do yourself a great favor reading the whole post.

Florida SB 7026. No respite, House on Third Deading right now.

It was too much to ask for a break. They are up and talking again.

No new amendments added, I guess it is time for inflated rhetoric and pompous bullshit speeches before voting.

I am not watching that crap… probably McThag will, but since he drinks that infernal hooch he cooks behind his outhouse, he is properly dulled to deal with the nonsense.

Florida SB 7026. Are we getting a day of rest? Let’s have fun!

I don’t see anything scheduled in the house and only an amendment brought forward by Senator Steube over in Appropriations, which means it can be bad.

Now, if you feel like it, why don’t we do another round of emails but this time we politely demand “The Good Amendments”?

Dear Representative:
I watched yesterday that all the Gun Controls amendments were defeated or withdrawn and I appreciate it greatly. But sadly, what I have not seen are amendments that support the rights of the Citizens of Florida. Some of what I will ask you will say that they have no chance to be passed, but we need you on the record advancing gun rights for Floridians and plant a flag saying that the State of Florida supports the Bill Of Rights in its totality, not what is politically convenient at the time.

Here are some ideas.

– Restitution of all rights, including Gun Rights, to non-violent felons that have completed their sentences.
– In SB 7026, delete from line 678 to 688 (dealing with raising the age for firearm purchase). Correct the rest of the bill accordingly.
– In Florida Statutes 790.053 (Open carrying of weapons) substitute text with “The Open carrying of weapons will be allowed in the same locations where Concealed Carry is allowed.”
– No Background Check required to purchase a firearm if the purchaser shows his or her valid concealed weapons permit.
– (add your own)

Ok that last one is for you readers to give me ideas and we all can add to the mix, so go ahead and post them in the comments and I will update the post accordingly. It is 10:20 am so I figure we can do this and email around 3:00 PM so they can craft the amendments and file them before they go home. Or they can do it from home, I reckon they have a way to do that via email or some other cyber connection.

And thanks to RJK, here you have the corresponding email addresses separated by semi-colons as some needed them.
Much appreciated, RJK!
