Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Florida: Armed Teacher program has been castrated.

If a teacher wants to be armed voluntarily to defend students, unless the School Superintended and School Board OK’s the program, blesses the individuals and the Sheriff’s office wants in the program then it must institute a program, there will be a zero chance to do so.  It seems that major school boards are already announcing they will not give permission to get the program active.

And just to be sure the latest amendment being discussed on the floor and brought by Senator Garcia (my alleged rep) is this:

Basically, teachers will not be able to participate in the Armed Teacher Program.

This much stupidity is why I will never run for office. I’d lose my shit and start chasing people with a medieval mace.

UPDATE: The amendment has been approved. It is official, no teachers allowed to be in the Armed Teacher program.

NICS Firearm Background Checks for February are out

Our friends of the FBI inform us we had 2,333,193 background checks, the second best February since the whole silly thing got started.

From November 1998 to February 2018 (Almost 20 years), a total of 282,816,103 firearm background checks have been performed in the US.

14,140,805 per year.

38,741 per day.

1,614 per hour.

27 per minute.

Almost 1 every two seconds…. for 20 years.

The dream of banning guns in the US is just that: a dream, and a silly one at that.

Academy Awards Schadenfreude.

Jimmy Kimmel’s return as Oscars host received an 18.9 rating in Nielsen’s overnight numbers from 8-11 p.m. ET, down 15.6 percent from his 2017 debut. Of course, the ABC special ran about 50 minutes after primetime’s cutoff, so these numbers are subject to some adjustment.
Last year’s Oscars landed a 22.4 rating in Nielsen’s overnight numbers, which count 56 metered markets. That was down 4.3 percent from 2016’s very preliminary numbers, when Chris Rock hosted.

This year’s ABC special will need to stay north of 32.018 million — which is what host Jon Stewart and Best Picture “No Country for Old Men” got in 2008 — to avoid an all-time low audience return. Stewart managed a 20.8 in overnight returns.

Oscars Early Ratings Tank, Show Sinks 16 Percent From Last Year

Is it me or Virtue Signaling is getting mighty expensive? I wonder if ABC is going to have to return money to advertisers, a common thine when the ratings do not meet what the companies paid for in ads.

Well, in the meantime.

Florida Senate: Two Republicans voted for the AR-15 “moratorium.”

That includes a two-year moratorium on the sale of AR-15’s, the type of gun used by the shooter last month at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, and a full-out ban on “assault weapons.”
Senators voted 21-17 to defeat amendments to add the ban and moratorium to the bill. Two Republican Senators, René García and Anitere Flores, crossed party lines on the vote. Both are from blue Miami-Dade County.

Florida Republicans beat back Democratic amendments on guns, set up vote for Monday.

They had been behaving strangely decent till they were told to attack. Puppies must be reminded not to go against the Constitution. Make a special note to address them when you call.

Retorting the Small Penis comments.

Yesterday in Facebook we were discussing how Gun Control advocates end up using the Small Penis pokes and how they love to do in social media.  I realized I had not shared with you what I have been replying to them when they come up with that tiresome stupidity.

Whenever I see a “Small penis” comment in twitter, I ask them how do they know? Do they go out there meeting gun owners at gun ranges and fondle their dicks to get a measurement? Do they do touch stranger’s cock’s for free or get financed by Bloomberg? Are they Fluffers for Gun Control?

That kinda shuts them up real quick.

FL Senate: SB 7026, Third reading today.

We need to amp the pestering. So one more, mass email and if possible, call their office. You don’t need to do  a speech, just say that you want to let the senator know you are opposed to SB 7026. Here is the list of the senators with links to their pages and phone numbers.  If you call, besides your local Senator, add Joe Negron as President of the Senate and Senator Steube who has been fighter for the Second Amendment.

And don’t forget to email.

The Oscars

Apparently apologists for rapist and child molesters are saying on TV I am a bad person because I own guns that have hurt nobody.

Here is my reply to the apologists, the rapist and the child molesters.
