I wonder how many AR-15s have been sold in the last couple of weeks.
I was just checking Palmetto State Armory and the most repeated line is TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK.
Their website looks like the shelves of a Venezuelan supermarket, but kudos to them, they did not get stupid greedy and decided to go 200% mark-up with their prices. Guess who will keep coming back as client?
They have some kits still up for sale and I have the feeling they will not last long. I also checked AR 10s (One offer of a stripped lower, no uppers, some parts, no complete rifles) and pretty much the same story with AKs and pistol caliber carbines.
Gunbroker has AR 15s from the usual suspects trying to make a buck in the semi-panic but the prices not as crazy: An “ending soon” DPMS at $600 without any bids, generic complete lower for $179 and no bids either. I figure that prices will go lower so they can sell unless Congress looks like it caves and people will pay again whatever they are being asked.
I am done with the AR fight anyway. I do need to get me a decent rear sight and reliable and cheap magazines. I was told that the D&H 5.56 30rd Aluminum Magazine was a favorite of Pat Rogers and if true, that is a huge recommendation right there. The fact that Palmetto Armory has (had, temporarily out of stock) on sale for $7.99 makes them the ones I want. Still it is kinda weird to have a rifle magazine you can’t use empty to bash the head of your enemies or to use as hammer forge a truck axle.
People do not want fickle companies
MetLife Inc., the insurance giant that ended a discount for NRA members last week, had a 45 percent favorable rating, compared to a 12 percent unfavorable rating, before survey participants were informed of that move. After learning of it, respondents with an unfavorable view of the company doubled to 24 percent, while its favorability rating was unchanged.
Companies See Negative Responses to Cutting Business Ties With NRA
I can’t say I was surprised about the Republican side, but the independent side? That was eye-opening. I guess the silent majority id getting tired of the bickering and specially that companies start dictating policy and service according to the political whims of a minority.
There was news yesterday that Pizza Hut is the new sponsor for the NFL and Papa John’s left. Why? The ratings’ drop because of the political crap out of control, was harsh enough that they complained bitterly but still took it in the caboose.
We are still riding the storm of the Parkland Shooting. The Media took it upon itself to be the leader and creator of the news and opinion rather than reporting. It is gonna come a point where companies will have to exert some control over their advertising dollars and tell the Media to pack it in. And the companies that rush to lose money because they actually believe Twitter accounts by detergent-ingesting minors actually influence their cash income, are going to explain to their investors why they screwed up royally.
If you virtue signal by removing a 5% discount but lose the hard cold cash of those who actually have the money, you may end up in the poor house.
Teens don’t rent cars. How effing dumb can you be?
South Florida Hispanic TV gone stupid.
“A Fondo” is a news commentary on one of the Spanish Speaking channels in South Florida. The host is Pedro Sevcec and the reason he is not to the left of Castro is because there are still old timers that can leave a small Fourth of July gift in his car or home.
As you can imagine with all that has happened lately, the level of lies coming out of him and his guests is simply amazing. I went to check on mom and she had the TV tuned to that idiot, bit it was not what he and his guests were saying per se that attract me (blah bag guns are bad, easy to buy, cheap, etc.) but the image supporting the Anti Gun rant.
Yup, Air rifles .
Miami is the home for thousands of south and central Americans escaping from not only bad economy but from rampant crime and political instability. I cannot comprehend how is it that living in the US and enjoying the freedoms this country offers, they do believe that electing the same type of assholes that were responsible for their exodus and will curtail their freedoms is the right thing to do.
Florida Democrats trying to dismantle every gun law in the books. (No-Shit Urgent)
I got to check the proposed amendments to be discussed and it is the shopping list from hell. Some amendments already rejected, keep being reintroduced .
These are the bad Amendments to be heard tomorrow.
- Repeal State Pre-emption.
- Assault Weapons Ban light.
- Assault Weapon Ban
WeinsteinFeinstein-Style.* - Safe Storage of weapons to forbid concealed carry when minors are near.
- Add Country Administration buildings as Gun Free Zones.
- Universal Background Checks.
- Repeal the Second Amendment in Florida.
- Firearm Registration.
- Moratorium on sales, transfers and delivery of AR 15 rifles for 2 years for a “study.”
- Bump Fire stock & devices ban.
- Making murders in schools “illegaler” than outside the school.
- Parent can remove a child from classroom if the teacher is carrying. That means making public what teacher carries and invalidating the principle.
You know what to do and courtesy of the NRA, here is what you need:
Tomorrow, March 1, 2018, the Florida Senate will take up SB-7026, a bill that punishes gun owners.
Urge them to provide armed security in schools and tighten mental health laws to keep guns out of the hands of those who are a danger to themselves or others BUT LEAVE THE RIGHTS OF LAW-ABIDING GUN OWNERS ALONE.
IN THE SUBJECT LINE PUT: VOTE NO ON GUN CONTROL– Vote Against SB-7026

- I meant Feinstein, but if this shit passes, we will feel like we were roofied and spent the weekend with Weinstein.
It is now a game of “Who says the dumbest/outrageous thing about guns
And Senator Dianne Feinstein has the lead.
I have been stabbed by nails. In fact about 10 days ago I stepped on one, it hurt. Then again I have seen people wounded and dead because of handgun rounds.
There is a wee bit of difference. A pistol shot to the head most likely kill you or leave you drooling or voting Democrat for the rest of your life. However nails to the head, even when shot from a nail gun 12 times tend to be very survivable.
They can’t win with the truth so they resort to outlandish bullshit.
They look like they belong in those clothes.
The look fitting in the uniforms. That is scary.
