The CDC is starting to be openly challenged.

I don’t know what surprised me the most: The fact that epidemiologist are calling the conclusion biased (as in politically biased) or that is being published by a Old School Media source like a TV station.

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (SBG) — Some epidemiologists describe a government study comparing vaccine and natural immunity as potentially biased.

The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, recently tweeted that people who were unvaccinated and had a prior COVID-19 infection “were 5X more likely to have COVID-19” than those who were vaccinated without natural immunity. She referred to an Oct. 29 CDC study that examined patients who were hospitalized with “COVID-19–like illness.”

Despite the conclusion one might draw from Walensky’s tweet, the CDC study isn’t designed to answer the question of whether vaccine immunity or natural immunity is superior. Harvard Medical School professor Martin Kulldorff, an epidemiologist and biostatistician who now serves as senior scientific director of Brownstone Institute, writes that the study instead answers the question of “whether vaccination or Covid recovery is more related to Covid hospitalization or if it is more related to other respiratory type hospitalizations.”

Basically is saying that the director of the CDC tried to knit a sweater when she only had two pieces of lint and no needles and we are supposed to believe it.

And I am done with the official dieting.

Since Thanksgivings is coming soon and the cold is playing with my metabolism (making me frigging hungry), my body and I have decided to call off the crusade for weight loss and sign off a peace treaty. I wanted to reach the 220 pounds (100 kilos) mark, but the body has been ornery and I have been stuck in 225-224 for the past 3 weeks.
The deal is to maintain the 225 +/- 2 pounds from now on and I don’t starve myself trying to go lower. I know I am still a good 40 pounds above what the doctors’ charts recommend, but screw it the doctors as they keep moving goalposts.
All in all, I can’t call a loss of 175 pounds but a good victory.

Simply don’t touch it.

This tweet is part of an exchange between your truly and one of Rick The Dick’s minions and abided Anti Gunner. I do believe he/she/it/ is being sincere after I ask a question, so it gets its name sanitized and the idea is to impart a bit of information.

The exchange was about securing a firearm

My response was in three parts and I summarize here:

PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE GUN!

  1. In the case of an active shooter situation, you come across the abandoned/unused gun or one of the guns that might be involved and start fudging with it, you are tampering with evidence.
  2. In the case you just found the gun in the street or a bathroom or some other place,  do not know the manual of arms for that gun and star messing with it, you are risking a negligent discharge that may injure somebody, you included.
  3. Again, you found a gun abandoned somewhere, pick it up and render it safe. Call the cops, they arrive and later id found out the gun was used in a homicide and your big fat fingerprints are on it. Next thing you know you are cordially invited by detectives to speak about the victim and they may recite the Miranda warning for shit and giggles.
  4. Back to the active shooter situation: You come across the active shooter who just committed suicide, reach for the gun to render it safe and at that moment the police arrives only to see somebody armed with a gun next to the body of somebody on the ground. Guess who is about to be shot for his troubles?

So, if you find a gun and fell the need to “avoid an accident” begin by NOT TOUCHING THE GUN.
