Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

And this is why we will lose our gun rights.

I bumped into this pic in another blog:

Before I continue, I want to remind you of a quote from the movie Absence of Malice that old readers know I like to use a lot:

So right out the bat, let me tell you that for the most part, the NRA hate meme is accurate but not the truth.

Back in the early 70s, there was an internal fight inside the NRA. There was a group in charge who believed in staying away from politics and that the organization should just dedicate itself to hunting and the shooting sports of the time. There was another group that saw how gun rights were eroding fast, specially after the Gun Control Act of 1968 and wanted to do something about it. Finally in 1975 during an annual meeting in Cincinnati , the old guard was knocked down and the new NRA was born which went on to form the lobby groups to fight further gun control.  You may want to take the time  and Google bout The Cincinnati Revolt.

So, although the NRA of 1934 supported the NFA and the other one didn’t do shit against GCA 68, to assign those gigantic fails to the NRA of today is and underhanded tactic, worthy of our Gun Control enemies. We have seen Moms Demand and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence use the same lies to erode at the base of the NRA. What I never suspected is that they were going to be so successful attracting Gun Owners to fall for it. And not only fall for it, but defend and spread the lie with a fanatical conviction.

Let’s move to FOPA. Contrary to the meme, the Firearms Owner Protection Act is not a machine gun ban law. If anybody cared to research, it was actually designed to allow gun owners not to be trapped in interstate travelling with firearms when crossing gun hostile states and to correct many fails of GAC 68. Once again, the meme is accurate saying that the NRA supported FOPA because it did many good things.  Some of the stuff FOPA did: “The Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 (FOPA) addressed the (ATF) abuses noted in the 1982 Senate Judiciary Subcommittee report. Among the reforms intended to loosen restrictions on gun sales were the reopening of interstate sales of long guns on a limited basis, legalization of ammunition shipments through the U.S. Postal Service, removal of the requirement for record keeping on sales of non-armor-piercing ammunition, and federal protection of transportation of firearms through states where possession of those firearms would otherwise be illegal.

What it is misleading is that the meme does not mention specifically the Hughes Amendment, locking down the sales of new machine guns to civilians (not banning MGs as it says otherwise we would not have the Knob Creek shoot out twice a year, right?) and  which was added sometime after midnight the day they were discussing it and approved it via a very suspicious voice vote. Basically it was an amendment introduced when nobody was watching at the wee hours of the night and nobody noticed until it was too late.

I am just going to stop here because I have no idea about SHUSH or silencers legislation and I already covered bump stocks till I got sick. I urge to seek the information on your own, you don’t have to believe me. Once you get your information, I want you to ask the people who keep repeating this bullshit storyline about the NRA:

“If your cause is righteous, why lie?”

PS: I swear I never expected to have this applied to another gun owner. It is depressing.

PS: And coming back saying “But the NRA fucked this other thing up” is not a valid excuse to allow what I just explained.

Demoted and Shameless Scott Israel Blames Politics, the NRA and everybody but him.

Not only he blames all those mentioned above but he announced that he will sue the Governor and run for Sheriff again in 2020.  The same lack of shame he had at the Town Hall blaming the NRA and Dana Loesch for what happened at Parkland when he already knew his deputies had failed miserably is what I saw coming out of him.

And you can tell the Broward Democrat Machine was in full gear. Just look at the rainbow coalition that “come” to support him.

He went to “review” his actions in Broward, how crime dropped, how they feed starving children, etc. All the sacred points of the Liberal playbook. And you have the beautiful representation of Broward people standing behind him and his lawyer in support. Except there is one group of people you don’t see and certainly did not come forward to the mikes to speak in defense of Israel: The parents of the victims of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre.
Where were the parents? With Governor DeSantis.

Holy crap, when you cannot get even one parent to speak up for you at your own press conference, how bad do you screwed up?

And here is the kick in my opinion, unless DeSantis cleans up the Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ office, Israel will likely be “re-elected.”

Another Feinstein Version of Assault Weapons’ Ban and I can’t afford it.

We got so nailed with bills, property taxes, mom’s medical expenses and the fridge dying that the obligatory Finger Flipping Di Fi By Buying Another Gun is frozen. I was thinking a 9mm carbine of sorts, maybe in AR Platform that takes Glock mags or the Ruger PC.

Apparently having a way to preserve foodstuff with cold overrides by wanting a gun. Who knew?

It is going to be interesting at the Broward Sheriff’s Office headquarters this afternoon.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – As Gov. Ron DeSantis prepares to “make a statement on holding government officials accountable” later Friday in Fort Lauderdale, sources told Local 10 News two names are on the short list of candidates to replace Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel if he is removed from office as expected. ..

DeSantis is making his statement at 3 p.m. at the Broward Sheriff’s Office headquarters. A news release from the governor’s office said DeSantis will be joined by Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez and Attorney General Ashley Moody.

With DeSantis’ announcement looming, this could be Israel’s last day as sheriff.

This is a political way to say:  “I am coming to kick you out personally.” You have to give DeSantis kudos as he could have done the same from the comport of the Governor’s Mansion.

He is coming with back up and that is interesting, specially the Attorney General. Are we talking State intervention in BSO to examine training and procedures? A clan up of the department would be nice, but the Broward Democrats would have kittens having a Republican Governor “interfere” with such sacred institution and they still do not like to be reminded of former Sheriff but Felon Ken Jenne.

Maybe I am seeing too much into the whole thing,  The legislature will have to approve  Israel’s suspension and I do not foresee any trouble there.

A Menstrual Cycle with a Gun attacks man in New Jersey.

No, not a bad joke about your Significant Other.

The intruder allegedly arrived at the residence brandishing a semi-automatic handgun and a fight erupted with the man who lives at the home….Police say that during the altercation the resident was able to get control of the gun and fired — hitting 29-year-old Terrence Coulanges, of Old Bridge, who died later at an area trauma center.

Scuffle Ends in Deadly Shooting Outside New Jersey Home

What is with the use of stupid euphemisms? I do not care who he is: If a person goes to somebody’s noise waving a gun and looking for trouble, they are NOT visitors, unwanted or otherwise. What was the stations thinking? Not to hurt the guy’s feelings? He is done having them!

Oy coño!

Florida: HB 197 – No Carry in a child care facility.

Representative  Cindy Polo (D) thinks carrying a gun while dropping off or picking up the kids at Day Care is a danger.   How many times have we heard about shootouts in Child Care facilities through the decades of CWP in Florida? For some reason I can’t seem to shake the idea that Ms. Polo is trying to make Churches Gun Free Zones by sheer proximity knowing that most Houses of Worship offer child care on days of service. It would force parents to disarm before dropping the kids or force the church to have people getting the kids from the parents outside the child care area.
As they say, the devil is in the details with HB 197.
