Nobody who voted for the politicians that made this possible should be allowed to leave the city.
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

I also notice that there are at least a dozen or two people around, none of which show the slightest interest in stopping the criminal.
The right answer in this case is to shoot the bum. Lacking guns, the next best answer is an NFL style tackle, bouncing his head off the pavement. A video clip from Texas a few days ago shows the correct procedure (executed by a no-nonsense lady).
It’s NYC, they’d probably arrest an NYPD cop who intervened and arrested the guy because the cop used too much force
Incidentally, I was looking up NYC pepper spray laws. My conclusion was that the NYC statute was too confusing to figure out specifically what pepper spray I was legally allowed to carry.
So basically, a place that bans essentially anything a person might use for self-defense has predators beating people with bats in broad daylight.
Sounds like progress to me….
What pkoning said. Aluminum bat to the head of a downed and defenseless person is attempted murder in every jurisdiction in the U.S., and justifies a forceful response.
Best response: ventilate the bat-wielder, preferably with 115 gr of hot lead and copper @ 1,100 fps. But this is NYC, so that’s not a legal option.
Second best: NFL-style tackle, take him to the ground.
Alternative second best: Shove or kick him into oncoming traffic. If you tackle, you are now attached to the bat-wielder and have to keep control of him and/or his weapon or he’ll use it on you. Plus, the tackle has to go somewhere, and the momentum could possibly carry both of you into oncoming traffic. If you can get him away from his victim without endangering yourself, all the better.
But the most disturbing thing about that video is how many bystanders just walked by like this was normal. Self-defense is a non-possibility, but I know in my heart that every one of those people has a phone and could call it in. But the only phone apparent is the one being used to record the events to post on social media. Hard to tell with the masks, but I swear one of the ladies looked at the scene, chuckled to herself, stopped long enough to ponder recording it herself, but ultimately walked on.
NYC is a s#!t-hole filled with s#!t-souled people. (Except for the one guy who stepped in. He’s the only decent human being I saw in that clip.)
The only problem with the alternative second best is that in Cuomo Lockdown NY, there isn’t enough traffic for that to be effective.
Ya. Luv how everyone just walks by… but they was wearing a MASK! Oh and proper word is “cyclist”. That wernt no biker…
Ever seen “Super Troopers”?
Watching it right meow. 😀
I think you’re being way too hard on New York and New Yorkers. In my travels around this great land, I’ve met quite a few NYC-ites who weren’t loudmouthed assholes and didn’t look down their noses at everything west of the Hudson and south of the Battery. (Okay. I’ve met three. But three is quite a lot, right?)
They keep telling me the Legend of Kitty Genovese never happened. That there was no way twenty or forty NYers could hear her cries as she was killed and ignore them.
Now they just walk right on by as someone is beaten (to death?) in the street.

“Person” = black man. Again. But we’re not supposed to notice that.
