Stuff like this makes me smile. That is a common sense approach to guns.
Living in God’s country, eastern Lewis County Washington, between Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens, but we have plenty of low lifes who live here because it’s 75 miles from the county seat with minimal law enforcement capability to get out here.
Like Florida, we have concealed carry. I have a cpl but feel safe enough that I don’t normally carry. Got it because I spent some time on the opposite side (good side) of the courtroom from some guys who I thought might do me harm if they got the chance. Have a loaded .357 mag in the nightstand, but fortunately have never had to use it.
Bottom line is that I support Sheriff Mansfield’s position on the second amendment and armed self defense. I believe in the thin blue line, but in these rural areas you will be long dead before they arrive. You need to defend yourself vigorously. When you have a gun you have to practice the ultimate restraint, but when you have to shoot, shoot early, keep shooting and use good ammo.
That has to be some darn pretty country….cold but darn pretty
