As a result, the Biden campaign canceled the event the bus was headed to in Austin, Texas.

One Democrat state representative said it was because the Trump supporters have “escalated well beyond safe limits.”

Kristallnacht had a death toll of 91. Hitler’s Brownshirts, the Sturmabteilung or SA, were notorious for being murderers.  They led the Night of Long Knives.

When the SA intimidated people who opposed the Nazis, it was because the threat of violence and death was behind their intimidation.  The SA didn’t just drive around Berlin waving flags.

This is beyond historically illiterate, this is revisionist malfeasance.

The rise of Hitler, like the rise of Stalin, Castro, Mao, Pol Pot, and other radical Leftist leaders left countless dead in their wake.  These politicians rose to their positions by climbing a mountain of skulls.  Their opponents were viciously murdered, disappeared, and unpersoned.

Private citizens who spoke out against them were beaten, had their businesses destroyed, were tortured, and many were killed.

This has been whitewashed out of history by people who want to say “Trump is coming to power just like Hitler.”  Really.  Where are the Biden supporters businesses that are being burned to the ground for supporting Biden?  Where are the people who speak out against Trump being beaten to death?

El Paso police says department will not enforce County Judge order

The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) announced that it will not enforce El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego’s order to have non-essential businesses close for a two week period.

EPPD cited a statement from Attorney General Ken Paxton as the reason for the move.

It reads:

“In sum, County Order No. 13 is unlawful and unenforceable because it conflicts with the Executive Order GA-32. For these, reasons, we have advised El Paso County Judge Samaniego to immediately rescind or revise his order to make it consistent with GA-32 or face likely further legal action.”

As KTSM has reported, County Judge Samaniego announced a two-week shutdown for non-essential businesses starting Oct. 30.

This order is in violation of the Governor’s orders on shutdowns.

The fact is, shutdowns have proven to only delay infections, not stop them.  Every time a location is locked down, shortly after the lockdown ends, infections go back up again.

This cycle of lockdown, release, and lockdown again is killing small businesses and killing people.

It’s good to see that the police refusing to enforce another (illegal) lockdown order.

I found this video by accident looking for something else, but I wanted to share it.

So the police responded to a mental health crisis response.

A man was cutting his own throat with a knife.  They shot him with a less-lethal impact round that was able to disable the man long enough to secure him and apply a clotting agent saving his life.

I am reminded of two quotes Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein.

“Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms”

In this case, the proper and controlled application of violence saved a life.

The police did not use lethal force, but still used force, and were able to take control of the situation.

I am not going to say that this is a universal fit, every situation is different.

I have read on a number of LEO blogs and message boards how even they (the police) don’t like responding to mental health crises because of the frequency of suicide by cop.

I truly believe having some sort of mental health expert first responder able to arrive at suspected mental health crises to try and non-violently defuze the situation is a good idea.

However, having law enforcement there with proper tools, training, and an understanding of how those weapons can be applied to mental health crises is equally valuable.

The ultimate purpose is to save lives, those of the innocent and that of the person suffering from internal demons.

Sometimes, the direct application of measured and controlled violence is the right way to do that.

File this away under “stuff that would never have happened  under the Obama Administration.”

When it comes to holsters, we are always playing the compromise game. We fight between the level of retention versus the speed of access and we make choices in lifestyle accordingly.
