Seattle and Portland mayors vs Seattle and Portland police
Here are some videos from Seattle and Portland, showing what the police are having to deal with in those cities.
Yesterday in Seattle, a mob of bat-carrying antifa & BLM rioters marched around city, breaking windows one-by-one & starting fires. They ambushed police at West & East precincts, injuring 12. Like Portland, local police aren't allowed to stop the rioters. https://t.co/COgB8dt7rp pic.twitter.com/JdjYBNW6qv

Over and over again, violence, rioting, destruction of property, arson, and attacks on federal property. The police are being injured, mortar fireworks are being thrown at them, they are facing down horrible violence. We saw the same thing in Chicago.
The local police are either overwhelmed or hamstrung by local politicians which is why the federal government was sent in.
Today, Mayors from around the country took a stand against unilateral federal intervention in our cities, calling for immediate removal of the President’s “Rapid Deployment Unit” squads and for a congressional investigation of their unconstitutional terror tactics. pic.twitter.com/akgHn7hPWz

I was proud to join @MayorJenny of Seattle, Mayor @KeishaBottoms of Atlanta, @chicagosmayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago, @MayorBowser of Washington, DC, and Mayor @QuintonLucasKC of Kansas City in these actions.

The mayors of these cities want federal law enforcement out of their cities because they have no control over federal law enforcement. They can’t tell the federal government not to use tear gas or to give the rioters room to riot.
City leaders are encouraging lawlessness.
I cannot for the life of me understand why they are doing this, but they are.
I will say it again: if duly elected officials of these cities want the chaos, let them have it.
