A rally in support of the Netflix trans employee walkout on Oct. 20, dubbed “Stand Up in Solidarity,” will present co-CEO Ted Sarandos with a list of “firm asks” and feature a PSA from stars including Angelica Ross, Jonathan Van Ness, Jameela Jamil, Eureka O’Hara and Colton Haynes.

Maybe is because I am already at the Old Fart stage where I am narrowing my choices of stuff and actors to watch and I don’t give to considerate shits about Tinsel Town and its population, but I had to google every name to get a photo and I do not recall ever seeing one of them in anything I watch.
In other news, the pearl-clutching about Chapelle’s latest stand up seems to continue with “activists” still trying to shame and shut down the freedom to offend people while making them laugh. But it seems the majority of people really do not care about some unknown Dancing Monkeys slinging poo at their latest outrage.
Maybe they should contact the ACLU.
I watched the special.
If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself talking with someone who is offended my the trans jokes, ask that person “What is Clifford’s full name?”
If they don’t know, it’s because they haven’t watched it.
If they won’t say it, it’s because they have watched it and know the trans jokes don’t even make the top 5 most offensive jokes in just that 1 hour special.
I watched it too, not as good as the last one, but he called it exactly like it’s happening now.
I hope Netflix fires every single person who walks off. If they do that, I might actually subscribe to their service.
Oh and it’s a “virtual” walk out, ie. they’re not going to be on their Zoom call for about a half hour or so.
Like the Congressional ‘sit in’ for gun control w/ pillows, blankets, catered food, and scheduled replacements.
I believe the appropriate phrase here is ‘literally who?’.
“I had to google every name to get a photo and I do not recall ever seeing one of them in anything I watch.”
I recommend using imdb.com to look up someone, for a list of everything he/she has done.
