Two kids Adam Buchwald and Zach Hibshman have created a group called Parents Promise to Kids.

Overview: The goal of Parents Promise to Kids (PPTK) is to get parents to vote for candidates who believe that the safety of our children is much more important than guns. We urge parents to sign a contract, found under the CONTRACT page, and then post it on social media. The contract is a promise to their kids to assure that they will never leave their homes in fear of being attacked by people with assault weapons.

This is the contract:

In order to be a “good parent” you must sign a pledge to the Democrat party.

The way this works is, a parent signs the contract, takes a picture with the signed contract, and plasters it all over social media with the above hashtags.

This is Stalinist child informing on parents tactics combined with social justice social media shaming.

I don’t see how this is anything but a weapon.

“Hey Bob, I didn’t see that you signed your PPTK contract yet.  I guess you don’t care about kids then.”

The PPTK website says that the “hard truth” is that “100% OF SCHOOL SHOOTERS USE GUNS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.”  Which is a nonsensical statement, unless I missed where these mass shooters had gotten their hands on MK19’s or artillery pieces.  But the point is not to make any sort of sense, it is to force compliance with the cudgel of social media.

Dissidents used to be shamed in the public square.  Mao called them “struggle sessions.”  Now that happens on Twitter and Facebook.  Again, children are being used against their parents as part of this.

This:

Is little more than this:

With smiles.

  1. “‘’Down with Big Brother!’ Yes, I said that! Said it over and over again, it seems. Between you and me, old man, I’m glad they got me before it went any further. Do you know what I’m going to say to them when I go up before the tribunal? ‘Thank you,’ I’m going to say, ‘thank you for saving me before it was too late.

‘‘ ‘Who denounced you?’ said Winston. ‘It was my little daughter,’ said Parsons with a sort of doleful pride. ‘She listened at the keyhole. Heard what I was saying, and nipped off to the patrols the very next day. Pretty smart for a nipper of seven, eh? I don’t bear her any grudge for it. In fact I’m proud of her. It shows I brought her up in the right spirit, anyway.’ ”

  2. Why do we play along with the fiction that kids are driving this? The first sentence should read:

“Adam Buchwald and Zach Hibshman are two kids being uses as the figureheads for a group called Parents Promise to Kids.”

  3. Makes me glad all of the kids are way out of school. I work with my Grandsons to teach them the Constitution. I take them shooting and fishing. They aren’t becoming the drones like Hoggwash and Emma the bald girl.

  4. Wow, don’t forget to include your party membership card in the picture, your contract is Not valid without it.

  5. I don’t understand. How can we keep children safe if we don’t have the proper tools to destroy the monsters that come for them?

“Safety over guns?” Guns *are* safety.

  6. The PPTK website says that the “hard truth” is that “100% OF SCHOOL SHOOTERS USE GUNS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.”

As Miguel always says, if your side is so righteous, why do you lie? All but 2 school shootings used pistols. And WTF is a “GUN OF MASS DESTRUCTION”??

The whole way this movement gets started when a white middle class school is shot up, while poor black kids routinely get shot in gun control paradises like Chicago and Baltimore every month shows black lives don’t matter.

    1. SIGraybeard: You beat me to it. I was going to bring up specific events — Columbine [pistols limited to 10-round magazines and a shotgun], Virginia Tech [pistols, 10-round magazines], Thurston [pistols and a .22 rifle] — to show the “100%” claim is a lie, but your comment is quicker. The bottom line is, very few school shooters used anything that could be considered a “gun of mass destruction”…

… unless in PPTK’s eyes ALL GUNS are “guns of mass destruction”.

Which isn’t outside the realm of possibility.

        1. Clearly.

I also assume that, to any gun-grabber:
          – “Common-sense, reasonable regulations” means “Broad and/or vaguely-worded gun bans.”
          – “Prevent school/mass shootings” means “Create the conditions that ensure MORE school/mass shootings, justifying more common-sense, reasonable regulations.”
          – “Consistent with the Second Amendment” means “Absolutely violates the Second Amendment, but we want it anyway.”
          – “I support the Second Amendment, but…” means “I don’t give two s#!ts about your so-called ‘rights’, so…”
          – “I’m a gun owner, but…” means “I own guns, but not one of these; I have no skin in the game, therefore I’m just fine with them taking yours, so…”
          – “Nobody NEEDS [undesirable item]” means “YOU shouldn’t be allowed to have [undesirable item].”
          – “For the safety of the children” means “For the safety of ME — and to some extent MY children — but not you or yours.”
          – “If it saves just one live” means “If it saves MY life.”
          – “Just one more law” means “As many laws as it takes.”
          – “Keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have them” means “Keep guns out of the hands of everyone EXCEPT those who should not have them.”
          – “Military-style firearms” means “Practical and/or useful firearms.”
          – “Saturday Night Specials” means “Practical and/or useful firearms.”
          – “Assault weapons” means “Practical and/or useful firearms.”
          – “Suitable for sporting purposes” means “Suitable for a round of badminton.”
          – “Supported by law enforcement” means “Supported by us and will be enforced by law enforcement.”
          – “Firearm registry” means “List of names and addresses to visit when it’s time for the voluntary turn-in.”
          – “Voluntary turn-in” means “Mandatory surrender; fail to show and we’ll come get them by force.”
          – “Voluntary buy-back” means “Voluntary turn-in, but you get a grocery/gas card worth 1-10% the value of your firearm.”
          – “Nobody wants to take your guns” means “We want to take ALL of your guns.”

And this is by no means an exhaustive list.

(Feel free to quote this if you like it, or add your own. 😉 )

          1. Very good.
“Saturday Night Specials” is actually a shortened version of “Saturday Night N*****town Specials”, which will give you an idea of the morals of those who concocted that term. And it more specifically means “An affordable practical firearm, as opposed to one only my rich friends can buy”.

  7. The science geek in me sees the phrase “GUNS OF MASS DESTRUCTION” and says, “What? Nuclear-powered guns? Where’s my phase rifle?”

Y’know, since it takes a nuclear reaction/explosion to destroy mass and release its energy. 😉

  8. I would imagine kids who’s parents own guns wouldnt ask them to sign this…..
Note to criminals-cruise social media and make note of who posts this contract,
    They make easy targets….

  9. Just for the record and because I’m pedantic.

Weapons of Mass Destruction refers to non-conventional weapons.

    Specifically nuclear, biological and chemical.

Not artillery or heavy support weapons.

To date, I don’t think we’ve seen NBC or the older ABC designation outside of the news reporting at any school mass murder.

  10. The prog-shaming thing doesn’t really work on Red State Americans.
Push too hard, and they may see a preference cascade.
