Two kids Adam Buchwald and Zach Hibshman have created a group called Parents Promise to Kids.
Overview: The goal of Parents Promise to Kids (PPTK) is to get parents to vote for candidates who believe that the safety of our children is much more important than guns. We urge parents to sign a contract, found under the CONTRACT page, and then post it on social media. The contract is a promise to their kids to assure that they will never leave their homes in fear of being attacked by people with assault weapons.

In order to be a “good parent” you must sign a pledge to the Democrat party.
The way this works is, a parent signs the contract, takes a picture with the signed contract, and plasters it all over social media with the above hashtags.
This is Stalinist child informing on parents tactics combined with social justice social media shaming.
I don’t see how this is anything but a weapon.

The PPTK website says that the “hard truth” is that “100% OF SCHOOL SHOOTERS USE GUNS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.” Which is a nonsensical statement, unless I missed where these mass shooters had gotten their hands on MK19’s or artillery pieces. But the point is not to make any sort of sense, it is to force compliance with the cudgel of social media.
Dissidents used to be shamed in the public square. Mao called them “struggle sessions.” Now that happens on Twitter and Facebook. Again, children are being used against their parents as part of this.

Why do we play along with the fiction that kids are driving this? The first sentence should read:

Makes me glad all of the kids are way out of school. I work with my Grandsons to teach them the Constitution. I take them shooting and fishing. They aren’t becoming the drones like Hoggwash and Emma the bald girl.

The whole way this movement gets started when a white middle class school is shot up, while poor black kids routinely get shot in gun control paradises like Chicago and Baltimore every month shows black lives don’t matter.

I was going to bring up specific events — Columbine [pistols limited to 10-round magazines and a shotgun], Virginia Tech [pistols, 10-round magazines], Thurston [pistols and a .22 rifle] — to show the “100%” claim is a lie, but your comment is quicker. The bottom line is, very few school shooters used anything that could be considered a “gun of mass destruction”…
… unless in PPTK’s eyes ALL GUNS are “guns of mass destruction”.

– “Keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have them” means “Keep guns out of the hands of everyone EXCEPT those who should not have them.”

– “Assault weapons” means “Practical and/or useful firearms.”
– “Suitable for sporting purposes” means “Suitable for a round of badminton.”
– “Supported by law enforcement” means “Supported by us and will be enforced by law enforcement.”
– “Firearm registry” means “List of names and addresses to visit when it’s time for the voluntary turn-in.”
– “Voluntary turn-in” means “Mandatory surrender; fail to show and we’ll come get them by force.”

“Saturday Night Specials” is actually a shortened version of “Saturday Night N*****town Specials”, which will give you an idea of the morals of those who concocted that term. And it more specifically means “An affordable practical firearm, as opposed to one only my rich friends can buy”.

The science geek in me sees the phrase “GUNS OF MASS DESTRUCTION” and says, “What? Nuclear-powered guns? Where’s my phase rifle?”
Y’know, since it takes a nuclear reaction/explosion to destroy mass and release its energy. 😉

Specifically nuclear, biological and chemical.
Not artillery or heavy support weapons.
To date, I don’t think we’ve seen NBC or the older ABC designation outside of the news reporting at any school mass murder.
