8.55 lbs of brisket are on the smoker.
Rubbed with brown sugar, kosher salt, paprika, and garlic powder.
My brisket has a fishy friend:
Salmon done with dill, garlic, and butter, on the smoker.

Mmmmm!
I’m getting ready to roast a chicken – with only three people in the household, one of whom isn’t eating all that much nowadays while another doesn’t much care for turkey, a roast chicken seems a reasonable option.
Before that, gotta bake a pumpkin pie (but taking the lazy approach, using canned pumpkin instead of homegrown).
arrgggg – can’t post pics
2 people, 15+ lb turkey in smoker (applewood); cavity stuffed with celery, onion, garlic, fresh thyme/rosemary, lemon and orange chunks. simple rub of salt, pepper, garlic (save the sugar for pork); paired with sausage/green chili cornbread dressing, brussel sprouts with bacon, giblet gravy, sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping, cranberry/ginger sauce (home made) and for dessert ginger/pear gallette. < < < wife writes

What time are we eating??
The kids are making pie, the husband is smoking a turkey, sides are all made up (just waiting to be heated), and I’ve poured myself a ten year old Laphroaig.
