This pic has been doing the rounds among Gun Bloggers  and other gunner social gatherings:

Apparently GSGV does not like it much:
And it is understandable that they are not very fond of it.  Ladd and Co. have been trying really hard lately to sell the insurrectionist danger meme to everybody. He wants everybody to think that we are posed to take over the government and rule the country.  And while we are at it, we shall start the massacres against our enemies, blood will flow in the streets, this will become the Wild West, etc. A simple rehash of old and proven untrue warnings that we’ve been hearing for the last 30 years.

Ladd. Yes,  we don’t like a big intrusive Government, OK? That means that the last damn thing anyone of us wants to become is Government!

It is funny, not too long ago we were accused of being paranoid & that we were watching the skies for Black Helicopters. All of the sudden we are the Black Helicopters.

And I can’t even ride a bike….Go figure.

  1. That meme is almost as hilarious as the meme that the government is going to come knocking at your door one day and ask for your guns.

Each side does and says things that the other side uses to create the worst possible scenario to fire up their respective side. That’s nothing new and it’s being going on for years.

Either you’re a newbie at this, Miquel, or you’re perpetuating the above. I’m betting on the latter.

    .

    1. You mean like they already have in (formerly) Great Britain, Australia, California, and New Orleans? Only they don’t ask, they confiscate.

      1. The problem of arguing with ostriches is that their ears are full of sand.

However, do remember that the media refused to cover the New Orleans Gun Grab.

      2. What is the consequence of firearms confiscation?
Well, in repressive regimes it is often followed by genocide. No thank you. I’ll pass.

        Some more examples Rick:
Turkey, Nazi Germany, most of the communist countries, and some of the crappy little countries in Africa, have all spilled the blood of their disarmed citizens by the millions in recent history. Always accomplished by confiscation first.
You should be ashamed of yourself, Rick.

        Never Again!
        Molon Labe!

      3. hecate, don’t bother arguing with a troll. They are unable to grasp facts. It’s pretty clear that higher brain functions such as logic and comprehension of facts are beyond them. Quite sad, really, to be fed lies and thrust out into the cold cruel world.

    2. Those who do not learn from history… are doomed to look like ignorant idiots every time they open their mouths in front of people who did.

      Good job at that!

  2. It’s post like this that turn me off of guns….

(for anyone who doesn’t get my joke, look up smoke and thunder…)

    1. awww geez, do I have to? I think I’d rather go try to reason with Ladd and Company….on second thought I think I’d rather just go get a beer.

  3. Notice how they turned a cute little observational cartoon into a threat? Anyone who is not a timid hysteric would see that it is not a threatening cartoon. It’s an observation that their accusations and smears are untrue. Yes, we “understand them” all too well. We understand they fear us for no reason (since we are their law-abiding neighbors and fellow citizens), they fear inanimate objects (firearms), and they apparently do not fear criminals (see below).

Also, I hope the poster “Denise Lott” never has anything bad ever happen to her, but I wonder if she would adjust her sentiment about the probability of violence, if she ever gets assaulted, raped or killed by a criminal? She may be in the nice neighborhood and she may avoid risky behavior with unsavory people, yet she could still be the victim of a violent crime. Just like she could be the victim of a house fire or a fatal automobile accident. That’s why we have fire insurance, smoke detectors, seat belts, air bags. We just choose to add weapons (e.g. knives, firearms, TASERs, OC, martial arts training) to our tool kit. How is that unreasonable and scary?

    1. Denise has the mentality of a child. “Nothing bad happens because nothing bad has happened to me”.

Ladd’s current mantra is taking everything as a ‘threat’ to the point that people are making fun of it as well.

      1. Also Denise never thinks of the inverse. If by her logic the world can’t be dangerous because she’s never needed to use a gun. Then there’s no “gun crime” problem (unless she’s ever been personally victimized by a criminal with a gun) .

Or is the world in that sweet spot where it’s so dangerous that guns will yield blood in the streets, but not too dangerous that you’d actually need to defend yourself?

Then again by her childlike logic we don’t need police, a court system, or a military unless she’s personally experienced a need for any of the preceding.

Talk about provincial thinking and a total inability to empathize with someone different from you.
