It goes without saying that commercial gun sales between a Federal Firearms Licensee and civilian customers are already subject to background checks so, Why this ad?
For a while I thought that somebody in the Art department was stupid enough to release this without fact-checking it. Then again I remember who are we dealing with here and I would not be surprised that they are willing to issue a deceitful ad as long as it would help them. Lies travel faster and farther than corrections.
It’s another misdirection by playing with words. “Commercial” sales are those transfers that are facilitated by a public advertisement, such as armslist, facebook, local news paper, bulletin board, etc. Private sales are those transfers that have not been publicly advertised. They’re trying to confuse people into thinking that Brady doesn’t apply to all retail sales.
Good catch. It’s just more of their word games. They can’t win with facts so they have to twist the language to cover their lies.
