The fact that “gun” appears nowhere in the Bible means that literal evidence of a divine right to bear them is not available.
Source: Does the Bible Enshrine a ‘God-Given Right’ to Shoot in Self Defense? – The Trace
One kinda hopes that the smartest people against violence would not be rehashing this stupid concept again. But the principal reason of repeating misinformation is to make sure it becomes part of The Narrative and surpass both logic and the truth. I have covered in this blog that Self Defense is indeed not only approved but mandated by the Catholic Church. There are also no restrictions in the Jewish faith, Buddhism and probably no religion at all.
However, what these morons from Everytown/The Trace will tell you is that you do have the right to Self Defense, but not the best tools for it. Maybe pepper spray, maybe a cane but it is best if you use fists because everybody in the US is a 25-year-old MMA fighter and there is no need for guns. OK, Maybe cops need guns and the bodyguards for Bloomberg and Shannon Watts, but you little people? Nope.
So, what other things you do not have divine right to?
- The Internet
- Modern clothing
- BBQ ribs
- Feminine hygienic products
- Modern footwear
- Publish stupid articles like the above
- Basically anything invented/created after the death and resurrection of Jesus.
So, what can you have?
- Long walks to get where you wanna go.
- Being gang raped.
- Locking your woman away every 28 days.
- Being invaded every time an Emperor had his nuts twisted by the wife.
- Grow your own veggies and fertilize them with your poop
The Stupid perpetuates itself.

I misunderstood biblical instructions until I spent a little bit of time studying the subject.
It is “Thou shall not MURDER” and not the incorrect translation “Thou shall not KILL” which is a big difference.
The “Turn the other cheek” refers to the scenario of a social slight or an insult, not to a direct physical threat. God demands that we be good stewards of our bodies and that all life is His and that innocent life is to be protected.
To fail to protect innocent life is in itself immoral, sinful, and evil in the eyes of God. Read the verse in Luke about selling your cloak to buy a sword for self defense is the most obvious example of arming ourselves with the best possible and deadly weapons of the time. Christians who believe they should never resist evil and violence have been deceived.
“I have a message for you from the Lord.” -Ehud.
My dad’s favorite Judge. Also probably one of the funniest political assassinations in history.
It doesn’t matter what the Bible states regarding the right to self defense. That is a choice that is up to the individual church or organization. Local, State or Federal governments have no jurisdiction regarding how any religious organization is operated.
Refer to the first, second, fourth, tenth, and fourteenth amendments to the constitution.
God said Thou shall not kill, but it also means Thou shall not allow yourself be killed either. Thus self protection,in those days it was with the sword, slingshot, ect. because they did not have guns yet and now guns would be included. It was always God’s intention to protect the innocent. Many things of the bible is taken out of context to serve individuals thoughts not believes. It is clear though you should fight evil and not to give into it.
I want to cite the Supreme Court ruling from a couple weeks ago…
