A woman in Illinois was mauled to death by her French bulldog on Saturday, the county coroner said.
Police found Lisa Urso, 52, unresponsive on the back porch of her Fox Lake home, WBBM reported.
Officials said they believe her French bulldog attacked her inside the home and that she was ultimately able to get out of the house and onto the back patio where she died, WMAQ reported.

52-year-old found mauled to death by her French bulldog, Illinois coroner says

A friend in Facebook defined French bulldogs as ” a chihuahua with a pack of Gauloises rolled up in his t-shirt sleeve.” And he is not wrong by much.

Did the dog find the stash of meth, went Tony Montana and attacked the owner? Th is is the type you can kill with a misdirected fart, yet it managed to kill an adult human. Maybe it was like a regular big bulldog with a French passport.  Anyway, back to the point, we need to end the lockdowns if the dogs cannot stand having you around 24/7.

  1. Far more likely is that the owner died and was subject to postmortem predation by a desperate pooch… and then a sensationalist media took a medical examiner’s honest “well there’s a very small chance that this extremely unlikely scenario happened” and ran with that as the headline.

Pet eats dead owner is far more common than pet kills owner.

Caitlyn Doughty, of the YouTube Channel “Ask a Mortician,” has a fascinating look at the topic here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iGr2KgWBy7U

      1. The article claims the French Bulldog was a rescue and had “been bred to fight.” The implication being that it was some sort of underground illegal dog-fighting killer… Frenchies rarely grow heavier than 30 pounds and that’s on the chubby-side. Most kennel clubs have a maximum ideal weight of 25 lbs. for the breed. Even then, that weight is deceptive: they’re a small, stocky, heavy boned, breed.

If this dog was ever involved in underground dog fighting it was probably as a “training” dog. Something weak and small that the actual fighting dogs would be made to attack as “practice.”

I’m calling this whole article bullshit.

    1. If I pass away and Dapple decides he needs my protein more than I do, I’m fine with that actually. I wouldn’t need it any more, after all. I’d prefer he wait until the kibble was gone, but otherwise…
