For some reason, these lyrics come to mind:
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they called Gitche Gumee
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy
The Wreck of the Schwinn 15 speed?
As a former California resident who for many years had to put up with the local cycling population’s attitudes and actions, I find this video strangely satisfying.
If you’re looking for music about the storms on the great lakes, you might try “White Squall,” by Stan Rogers. Nothing about cyclists, though–just boats.
Theme from Jaws comes to mind. If ya gonna be dumb ya gotta b tuff. It never ceases to amaze me how unfugginbelivably stupid people are
If the tee wee “news” feels you have to be TOLD not to ride that trail, under those conditions, I think you *ought* to ride that trail, under those conditions.
For the children.
Mother nature told he/she not to HAWG all the lanes…BLESS HER HEART!
