I just spent an hour and a half watching the Judiciary committee of the Florida Senate and I am guessing they did not want to miss Happy Hour at the nearby watering hole because they postponed the hearing of the bill and left in a hurry.
One “good” thing is that this version of the bill does not have the “third time you go to jail” proviso but just keeps it a $25 administrative fine. That may explain why Moms Demand is throwing hissy fits and calling it an Open Carry bill. A Constitutional Right does not need a fee to exercise nor should be issue a fine.
I fear we are not even getting crumbs this year.
Did you ever notice the members are from the same general area of the state? Not a single one is from north of Orlando or west of the Apalachicola. Republican or Democrat. Just saying.
Sarge, Out
Judiciary is one of those committees with reputation…they are gonna hog it.
Then it’s going to be PROTEST time, baby!
