Just go down to your local gun show and get one without a background check. /end sarcasm.
If it is a 37mm smoke launcher it’s not a destructive device. Legal for smoke, signal flares, and CS gas projectiles.

Please forgive my ignorance but what is this rifle? I’m very partial to lever actions…
I have no idea. I just saw the pic in facebook and had to steal it. My imagination says it is a 45-70 with a 40 mm launcher… Reality says it is probably a 30-30 with a 37 mm Flare launcher 🙂
40mm. launcher is legal also with ATF approval for a Destructive Device. You can only shoot practice rounds with it. HE is Verboten.
