You need to go read that article. They are out of pepper spray since demand shot up 600% and I imagine with the strict gun control laws they have over there, about the only thing many can lay their hands on. Self-Defense By Condiment.

This would like New Jersey being so pressured, it had to start issuing whatever is that they give to their citizens to own a gun.

It’s only half the truth – the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” is something of a left leaning Propagandablatt so that’s not surprising.
The private security firms guarding the “refugee”camps also need pepper spray – it’s not only the civilians – and so does the police and the military dealing with the immigrants (most are no refugees, refugees from war torn countrys make up just 2% or so of the people immigrating).
My understanding is that even with a German firearms license, they are only allowed 1 handgun and 1 rifle. One of the reasons SIG came out with the P320 wasn’t just for military contacts, but also for the German civilian market. Now that the trigger is the only serialized part, a German P320 owner can get different caliber “kits” and still be legal under German law. Can anyone else confirm that?
I can’t say exactly what the possession caps are, but several countries over there limit people on how many firearms they can own, and that did drive some of that design thought in the P250/P320.
