Disclaimer: I do not own a smart phone and the closest I have been to an app is what SWMBO downloads in her Kindle.

So there is this app called the Gun Geo Marker which is supposed to be downloaded (No idea if it even has a price) and the user will mark with it whenever he sees a gun owner is unsafely using a firearm. At least that is the press-release version although they are not so clear in their instructions:

The general guideline is that you should mark any location about which you have a gun related concern, while trying to provide enough extra information for others to make their own determination about safety.

Knowing how big of panty-bunchers Gun Control activists are, we can expect that the simple suspicion of somebody owning a gun will be enough for them to mark a location. And let’s face it, it will be mostly suspicion for one reason: Outside a gun range, how many people are out there on the street or in front of their houses cleaning a firearm or manipulating one in any way, shape or form? Outside some blessed rural areas, nobody displays a firearm unless it needs to be displayed. So basically this app is ripe to use a stool of speculation and fear-mongering which suits me fine for my “evil” plans.

Garbage in, garbage out (GIGO) the axiom that faulty data fed into a computer will result in distorted information.

Now, what would happen if thousands of Gun Owners were to use that app to point out where people with guns visit every day? This app is nothing more than “ZOMG! I think I saw somebody with a gun at my local Starbucks/pedi-many/Panera! EVERYBODY MUST AVOID PLACE!” If you happen to add location where you see people armed or know that are armed such as Security Guards at a bank of jewelry or Police Officers driving down the highway…..well, I am guessing by now you get the idea. Garbage In → Garbage Out = Garbage App.

Do not forget to mark the locations of your favorite Anti Gun politicians as they surely have guns stashed for their own protection and we can be assured they do not know how to use them. They are palpable dangers to society.

If the app actually costs money, I would not spend one cent on it though. Save it for ammo.

Just my two 125 gr. opinion.

Spread the love

  1. The app is free to download on the Android platform. Thus far it seems you can only make a tag once every 24 hours. I am not sure if this is a temporary period when you first get the app or it’s just a built-in limitation. It seems you cannot enter an address, but you must use a map (that does not extend too far beyond your current location according to the GPS) and a reticule that cannot be moved around to mark the spot. So you have to be standing on the very location you wish to tag.

Upon leaving my office in “Disarmament City” yesterday I checked and found someone already beat me to the punch and tagged the Capitol as “lots of men with sniper rifles.” If I weren’t making a beeline out of this cesspool every day, I could have some fun tagging a Federal building each day.

    1. Love to see that I was not the only one that came up with the same train of thought. Now imagine millions of gun owners doing the same thing once a day. And if you carry, you are not lying at all…there is a person with a gun at that location!

    2. What kinds of places are frequented largely by Democrats? Government type buildings are one good option, but try to think about what other places would be excellent for providing misleading data?

From the site: “Does a gun owner you know fail to use a gun lock? If you know of such a gun owner, mark the the location at which they store their firearm with the Gun Geo Marker App.”

Yes. Mark the location of guns which are poorly secured in such a way that anyone… like a violent criminal… can easily see them.

  2. All of you MUST go and read the comments on that app’s page. Pure gold!

Yeah, I OC and thought about tagging everywhere I went, but then I decided it was too much of an effort for an app that will be forgotten about in a couple weeks.

    Meh… 🙂

    1. Way too many people complaining instead of trolling.

The trolls are hilarious, though! “I am an acquisitions manager for a Mexican cartel, and this app has been extremely helpful since our primary supply, Operation Fast and Furious, got cut off. Five stars.”

  3. Oh, great fun! You can tag all your local anti-gun fanatics, government officials, Dimocratic party officials, college professors, local liberals….well, you get the picture.

  4. I have a feeling that app isn’t long for the Android market. There’s going to be too much spam entered into it, and too many complaints about how the app could be misused/abused.

I don’t see Google leaving it up very long.

  5. I’m at Ali al-Saleem air base waiting for a flight into Afghanistan. I just reported 18 year olds with real machine guns everywhere. I will make similar reports from Kabul…

      1. Thanks! So far:
        Ali al-Saleem, Kuwait
        Kandahar, Afghanistan
        Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan
I’ll mark another place in Kabul tomorrow.

  6. My first thought when I saw it was tag Bloomberg, and Cuomo, along with other notables such as Mark Kelly, and Rosie O’Donnell
