When you start with “It is only a felony if you get caught” I am pretty sure I am not gonna pay attention to whatever else you have to say.
Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Other than that one stupid attempt at a joke, the rest of the video was correct.
That stupid attempt sets the idea of “yes, it is illegal, but it is also OK if I am not caught”
Funny, I bet you also think it would be your duty to refuse to turn your semi-auto rifle over when the government finally bans it. If not you, I’ve seen numerous other people like you. One minute they scorn and heap shame upon any person who appears to advocate breaking The Law, which is a sacred thing and always wrong. The next minute they are swearing they will never turn their guns over, no matter what the government says.
If it’s always wrong to break the law, that applies to ALL laws. Otherwise, some laws are wrong and can morally be disobeyed. And you are not the judge; every person needs to decide that for themselves, and whether it is worth it to them to risk the penalty.
Those signs have the force of law down there? I thought Florida was the gunshine state. Up here those signs are merely suggestions.
They have no weight unless the location is enumerated in the law. However you can be asked to leave or even trespassed. Here is where things get nasty: I bet that many people do not understand the principle of being trespassed and if you happen to return to the location while armed, you are now committing a felony.
Too bad. The guy may be correct. I don’t know Florida law and don’t care. I doubt I will ever be there to find out. But if it ain’t ILLEGAL to go past a “sign” into a bank, store or whatever, then it ain’t ILLEGAL. In Texas we fought long and hard against “ghost busters” signs and now we have a specific law that designates where it is illegal to carry. Violate them at your own risk and if a company tries to placate the gungrabbers with a “no gunz” sign or some other bullshit, legal carriers can ignore them or take their business elsewhere. I support your efforts to get Florida gun owners to stand up and start making their desires known in the capital. But we all got to stand together. This guy was right, as far as I know. If it is “illegal” to go past some random sign, let me know.
Pay attention to the video: The sign is on the outside. The bank did not post, he did.
And the bank is closed to boot.
This requires an update…screw update. Full post.

Former Florida resident here! Those types of signs are extremely rare in Florida and I can not recall ever seeing a single one of the type shown in the video. Best I saw were playing card sized window stickers at place or two. Not cool to fake videos (hats off to Miguel for catching the staged signs)!
