An assault rifle, or any other weapon for that matter, does not use CLIPS. They are called magazines. Clips are what you use to LOAD magazines.
Sorry, But I spent far too much time in the US Army, and that just gets under my skin. Almost as much as someone referring to any weapon except a MACHINE GUN as a GUN.
