Well, the one I had was inexpensive, and I guess it was durable enough, in its own inert sort of way.

Went to an indoor range recently where the range officer on duty had one of these Mattel castings fitted with a compensator, laser, tactical light and red dot. As I enquired about range fees and the like, he kept telling me what an awesome piece of weaponry it was. Disconcerting, to say the least, that he was in charge of the facility.
I figured I couldn’t be the only one to think of this, now I know what it looks like without having to do it myself. Might do it anyway.
Looks like it would be $200 worth of fun.
