That we are being governed by Old Hippies and their minions. These are the same Hippies that in the 60s kept hollering POWER TO THE PEOPLE! But now that the People listened and have the power at the tip of their hands in the form of guns, the Hippies are scared shitless and they want to remove the POWER from THE PEOPLE.

They were wright the first time. Except when they say “power to the people” back then, they were the people. And they want to keeping being THAT people.

What they really meant was power just for themselves. This was the same generation that said “don’t trust anybody over 30” and fought for the free speech movement. Then they became parents and put in place speech codes, outlawed dodgeball and other win-or-lose sports, blunted every edge, rounded very corner, and made protecting self esteem more important than life itself.
