I’m not a martial arts expert to know if what they say is right or not.
The first and most important lesson that I took away from this is: don’t let people that angry at you get that close to you.
But the reason I posted that video is the sheer number of people that were laid out with one punch.
A loss of consciousness for even a few seconds is indicative of traumatic brain injury. A mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI), a single concussion, can cause permanent brain damage.
The company I work for hires a lot of veterans. I knew a few people that have had MTBIs and years later have periodic severe migraines, vision problems and other long lasting symptoms.
A quick search of “one punch kill” in Google results in a two stories from the UK of men, one talking to some women, the other picking music out of a jukebox, and one jogger from Australia, who died from a single sucker punch.
In the UK and Australia, where guns are harder to come by, one punch kills have become a bit of an epidemic.
So much so that the police have had to come up with anti-one punch kill PSAs.

The point is: don’t get punched. If you survive, it may ruin your life.
Also, the next time some anti is crying and waiving the bloody shirt that it wasn’t right for some CCW to shoot the thug just who was just throwing punches, fuck ’em. Brain damage is brain damage whether it is caused by a bullet or a fist.

ABSOLUTELY!
And having this knowledge firmly in mind and being able to properly and succinctly elucidate that reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury to the authorities, if it ever become necessary to buttonhole a thug intent on fisticuffs.
Having the police authorities, even foreign ones, publicly post that information is most beneficial.
Also, the thug doesn’t have to know that “one punch can equal one kill” thus is in and of itself ‘deadly force’.
It’s just necessary for you to know it.’
It happens here in the US as well.
