So I did see Z for 5 bucks. 3rd row. Mind blown. Fast forward to a couple of years ago and we’re going to see a friend’s band in a club. They want 20 bucks. So I say to the guy at the door, “do you know I saw Z for 5 bucks in ’73?” He goes “good for you dude, there’s people behind you. In or out?” There it is.
In the pre internet era concerts were cheap because bands made money on album and t shirt sales. With the internet and near universal pirating of music bands have to charge a fortune for concerts because they make no money selling the actual music. This concert prices are now insane.
A musician I understand. A DJ and a laptop? I have Amazon Music in my phone and does the same shit.
