I have spoken before about the Happy Land fire and how $1 worth of gas was more effective than any high-capacity BS the Antis are trying to sell.

I remember my father talking about this fire. He was one of the responding firefighters that night. Essentially the fire was started at the base of the stairwell, which led up to the club upstairs. It was the only exit. Once the fire got established, it sucked all the oxygen out of the second floor area and superheated the surrounding air. The people didn’t just die of asphyxiation, their lungs were essentially burned from the superheated air as well. Horrible and very painful way to go. These people didn’t die instantly.
