It makes you proud to be American and advanced Social(ist) Helpers will cringe their noses that a bunch of Good Old Boys, using their property and money volunteer to drive 1,100 miles to go rescue perfect strangers.  And then be absolutely horrified to see them walking around with guns on their sides and eschewing the bureaucratic  types that wanted them to do rescues in government mode.
