Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is lashing out at Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx for citing “mutual combatants” in her decision not to press charges against those arrested in a deadly daylight neighborhood shootout caught on camera last week between rival gang members.

One person was killed and five others were taken into custody and later released in connection to the shootout that happened in the Austin neighborhood Friday on the city’s West Side. Three gang members began shooting into a single-family home in broad daylight in an effort to draw out members of an opposing gang faction. Three individuals inside returned fire, killing one of the offenders outside.
What is hilarious is that Gun Control people have been warning us for decades now that every time we manage to recover more and more of our 2A rights, we will surely head for Old West Shootings/ High Noon fights and nothing comes to past. But in Gun Control Chicago, not only they have High Noon Duels, they are now good shootings that won’t be prosecuted. according to the Liberal State Attorney.

I suspect that Foxx will bring the hammer down on any person with a concealed carry permit who ends up in a gun fight with one of these gangs. Lawful possession and self-defense aren’t likely to be acceptable to Foxx.

No. these are every day Glocks, where they just replace the sear at the end of the slide, and Voila’, you have a full auto pistol, and can spray bullets even more wildly that the average gang banger. Something the size of a dice cube.
I cannot find the story, but Minneapolis Police and the BATFEIEIO busted someone in Minneapolis that ordered 500 from china. He was selling them for $500 a piece. The story didn’t say how many he sold before being busted, but now the gang bangers in Mpls are doing full auto drive bys.

Some years ago, when the Chinese poisoned people in other countries by selling baby formula laced with melamine, it came out in the press that Chinese consumer protection law only outlaws selling dangerous products inside China. As a mechanically inclined person and curious about all sorts of stuff (and a gun guy), I have to admit to being intrigued by these things. I also am intrigued by why Glock would continue to sell a firearm so readily converted. I would think someone somewhere would sue over this. (Yes, I know there are likely ways to convert a lot of weapons; but none quite so easily, I think. OK, ARs, too, If you know what you’re doing.)
Of course, I would also love to build my own machine gun. It would be unlikely to be useful, but it could be loads of fun. But the gov’t has taken away that bit of fun from us.
